I need some prayer please. ><

For so long I've had many faith problems, but for a long while I was doing fine. I was so happy and content. Now I just feel all sick and wrong inside. I keep thinking sexually related things and not really resisting it as much as usual, not to mention I keep feeling hard to say I believe in God anymore. I don't know why, but I just do.

The whole thing frightens and me and makes me just want to cry. I'm worried what may happen to me and ask of your prayers please. >< I don't want to lose faith in God and I feel so hurt inside.

Thanks to anyone who does....><

I'll pray for you, Momo! Just remember that we all face testing times, but when we come through, we're stronger because of it. I'd encourage you to really dig into the Word during this time, to not allow yourself to get idle and sucuumb to the issues that you're struggling with. Don't make the devil's job easy. And talk to God about it! Let him know how you're feeling and what you're worried about, just like you're telling us. He's capable of helping you like we can't even dream of.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

I will pray for you. I second everything Yumie said, the best thing for you to do is to read the Bible and pray. And remember, although you feel far from God your concern and worry shows that your faith is still strong and God is still supporting you through this. God will bring you through this hard time, and I pray that He will comfort you in the midst of this.

Hey Momo,

I'm lifting you up. I know you go through these struggles a lot in your mind; I can relate. But it's not God's will for you to suffer in your mind this way. The Bible tells us to stand fast in the freedom by which Christ has made us free, and that the persuations that distract us from doing that do not come from the One who calls us. And God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

As far as the sexual thoughts, we can't always control what comes into our minds, but we don't have to meditate on them. Someone once told me that we can't always keep the birds from flying around our heads, but we can keep them from building a nest in our hair. It's not a sin for the thoughts to simply enter our minds -- thoughts are how the devil can tempt us, and we know Jesus was tempted but He never sinned. Jesus said it's not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes out of him. But we can't allow these thoughts to take root in our hearts. Jesus also said that the lamp of the body is the eye, and that if our eyes are bad, our whole body will be full of darkness. If you're intentionally taking in things that cause you to have and meditate on these thoughts, you probably need to avoid them. And as Yumie and Puritan said, really dig into the Word. And don't just read it; when you are tempted to start meditating on things you shouldn't, start intentionally thinking about the Word.

And Yumie - I wanted to thank you for saying, "Don't make the devil's job easy." That encouraged me. I think sometimes we make it easy for Satan to get at our minds when we don't stand in what the Word says about who we are in Christ and the freedom He's given us. That's why we need to stand in the full armor of God and take Him at His Word. Anyway, thanks for sharing that.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

I got some scripture that totally blew my mind! I remember the short lust phase
i had, I thought: " Oh, G-d'll forgive me if I repent "
not if you don't learn out of it, and keep living in it. Repent and SIN NO MORE, Jesus said.

Just when a thought wants to hook, you notice it, you shout ( or just think ) : " I live in the Spirit and not the Flesh!"
I know the flesh likes it. But one MUST control it. I got over it finally, and G-d did help, OBVIOUSLY. O_O
Imagine this: Jesus became 33 and NEVER lusted, wow huh? And He is how we should be.
anyways, this scripture helped alot, and really gave me a whack over the head,
Look it up yourself! ( that way you take the effort to open G-d's book yourself ) :
Galatians 5:19-21.
The rest also helped.
And most of all, strike the sentence " it's too hard!!" from your vocab, because, due to our new nature, we shouldn't have a problem with our flesh unless we let it...

Other than that,
I pray!
