Prayer for friends and the community

Postby Slater » Sun Feb 19, 2006 1:46 pm

PETA has decided to rally against our local KFC here in Pacifica. This is a problem for KFC because these protests have proven to be effective in the past as they have already run multiple KFCs out of business here in the Bay Area alone. This will be quite bad for a couple of my friends who have been working there for a long time, and I don't think that they're off very well finacially, so loosing that job wouldn't be fun. And everyone at my church loves fried chicken from there, so if this KFC goes out, our potlucks will be lacking...

So I'm asking... Pray for rain! PETA says that they will not protest in the rain, and it has been a bit rainy here lately. I believe they have scheduled to protest on the 24th, so if it rains then, it will be a very good thing.

Anything to keep PETA from being crackpots is a worthy cause. You can DEFINITELY count on my prayers.

Eh, I'll refrain from sharing my opinion on PETA. If it's God's Will, so be it. I'll pray for a resolution.

I'm with Mave, I'll withhold most of my opinion on the subject save for this: How dedicated are these people is water from the sky is enough to thwart them?

Anyway, I hope things work out for your friends.

I'll pray for G-d's will ( though it's too late but oh well. :P )
I'll refrain from my oppinion about PETA too ( and KFC as well ).We don't want a debate about this.
SO I just pray.

And it's not very nice to call one a crackpot :(

PETA, huh? I'll be praying.

I have experience to what they're like. I took a humanities class on interpretations and values. The teacher was a vegan, and part of the class had us watching videos put together be PETA. If you want my honest opinion, I think the class was rigged.

But I'll be praying for you. I wouldn't want any restaurant closed by PETA.
