A girl at youth group

Postby Syreth » Sun Feb 12, 2006 8:15 pm

Hey guys, I'd really appreciate it if you would lift up a girl at my youth group in prayer. She's a younger junior high age and I don't think she's saved. She has a disease (I forgot what it's called) and people who have her condition typically die young. Part of her condition also makes her very fragile. I think it makes her bruise really easily or something. So, if you could, please pray for her salvation first and foremost. Also, pray for her safety and that her disease would be healed. Thanks so much!

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

That sounds like maybe hemophilia. Does that sound right to you? In any case I will definitely be praying for her.

Your guess is as good as mine, meboeck. If she bruises easily, it could be hemophilia.

I'll be praying, Syreth.

Hmm... I don't think it was anemia or hemophilia. I think it started with an 's.' I'll let you guys know when I find out.

The girl didn't attend youth group last week, but she did attend the week before. She seems to be doing fine in spite of her condition. It seems to be such that she can lead a normal life (she just has to make sure she's not roughed up) apart from the high chance of dying young. I'm still not sure what the disease is called. My youth pastor's wife is starting to build a relationship with her, so I really hope she accepts the Lord. Thanks for your prayers.

The girl's condition is cystic-fibrosis (but I don't know how to spell it).
