Rindasu Madalina

Postby Rev. Doc » Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:12 pm

I'd like to ask everyone here to please pray for Rindasu Madalina.

As many of you know I lead a mission trip to Romania back in September. At one of the medical clinics, a young teen was brought to my attention that has Bilateral Traumatic Cataracts. Our mission physician informed me that if something was not done for this child he would go blind. Rindasu is 13 years old and lives in Piatra Neamt.

Currently, I am president of our local Lion's Club. Lion's Club International is on the forefront of helping those around the world who lack vision care or who are blind. So upon my return I began to check and see if there was anything this organization could do to help.

Our local club has voted to become the anchor of this project. We are currently making arrangements to have Rindasu seen by a specialist in Bucharest, Romania. A report will then be sent to the Storm Eye Clinic here in Charleston, South Carolina and if it is determined that Rindasu's eyesight can be saved, we will seek to fly he and his mother over here for treatment.

The churches in the Piatra Neamt region are aiding me in making all the arrangements for this young man.

Please pray that:

1. That upon examination that his eyesight indeed will be able to be saved.
2. That other clubs will seek to help with the financial needs of this project.
3. That if Rindasu needs to come to the U.S. we will be able to secure visas for both he and his mother (in some cases difficult to do).
4. That God's love will be evident and that this will be a witness not only to this family, but to other Romanians that they and the church will come into contact with because of this project.

I thank you very much for your prayers for Rindasu.

I'll definitely pray. ^_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
