Tis I, Bearer of Pigtails

Postby PigtailsJazz » Sun Feb 05, 2006 8:12 pm

Well, I've been here for a few months now, and thought, 'hey.....why not do an intro???'. Alas.

Well, for starters, my name is Susan. I'm 19 (but will be 20 in a month), and a Sophomore/Junior at Arizona State, although I originate from St. Louis (also known as Central America or the Middle East by my friend Josh, rather than the Midwest...) I'm also majoring in Music Therapy, and planning on going to grad school to eventually get a degree in counseling.

I do not wear pigtails everyday, I'm sure to the dismay of all of you here....
I also am not a huge jazz fanatic... Jazz is a word that was an inside joke between me & some friends....but I do like jazz!

As for Anime, my favorites are Kodocha (but only 4 discs are out thus far in English....NO!!!!!) and Evangelion (although it is a very spiritually dark series, I love the character development). I am also fairly new to Anime....I won't lie.... My brother had been into it for a long time, though, so I started watching this summer, and have been hooked ever since...

Oh, and my brother's name on here is Gehirn. Silly kid is never on, though.

Umm....so there's my bio. Any questions?.....

Hey there. I've definitely seen you around, so....

Music Therapy, eh? Is that like, helping people recover from being subjected to country music or something?

On to some questions:
Favourite movie?
Do you drive?
How many siblings do you have? (older or younger?)
If you could have three wishes, what would the second one be?
Everywhere like such as, and MOES.

Music Therapy is a really diverse field which uses the psychological affects of music to help people. Umm....sometimes.....you have to use country music (don't cry) because people have different musical tastes. But it's not just for psychological disorders; it can also be used for medical and physical therapy.

Favorite movie is It's A Wonderful Life (I'm a sucker for cheesy stuff)
I do drive! :) Just got me a car out here....
I have just my one brother Kevie! He is 2 years younger than me....just turned 18, and is going to come out to Arizona for college and study biochemistry so he can do cancer research and such.
Well, I think the second one would be, I wish for infinite wishes! But the real question is, I 'get' wishes all the time, so I could make that wish right now. And, technically, I would get infinite wishes, although none of them would probably come true. Haha!

umm....yeah.

Now, for a question.

What foods do you like?

If a rubber band played rubber songs, would you want to sing along?

Here's a few questions:

• How many bananas do you suppose you would be able to fit into your mouth on a dare?
• If you could be a super-hero, what powers would you prefer to have and what powers do you assume you'll get?
• Does the phrase "airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow" mean anything to you?

I got two bananas in my mouth once, but I got sick from trying to eat them at the sametime and really made a monkey out of myself.

I am obsessed with veggie tales fruit snacks. They are amazing. Other than that I don't have a favorite, though

I would totally sing along! I love singing ^_^

Do you like manga?

I am just getting into manga, in fact! I am very poor, though....so....all I have thus far is one book of Kodocha, with one more in the mail....

I have never attempted to fit many bananas in my mouth before. I suppose I would guess 4, and then say I wouldn't be able to chew anything for a month, and would have to be fed with a tube....
Well, as for super powers, I was once told that my super power is the one to make people feel moderately uncomfortable. However, I would like to be able to become invisible....or stop time and then go walk around or something.
That phrase means to me, that you forgot that it's the AFRICAN swallow....am I not correct?? I have seen Monty Python a few times....

If you were a tree in the forest and you fel when no one was around, would you make a sound?

Heck yes I would!

As far as anime goes what type do you enjoy the most?

I wouldn't say I have a specific genre that I'm really interested in...but in shows I'm really interested in character and plot development, and also relationships between characters.

If you buy comething on the way out, some stores don't look at you funny if you read manga there. Of course, the first place I read manga, as at the store my sister works at...

Where does the pigtails come from? Same as the jazz?

How did you get into music therapy?

How did you get into anime?

Where does the pigtails come from? Same as the jazz?

Well, the pigtails come from the fact that I used to wear my hair in pigtails nearly every day last year because it was really short. So short, in fact, that it wouldn't fit into a ponytail....ever. So, pigtails it was! muahaha.

The jazz part is much more complicated. It all comes down to my group of friends, and one of them was so angry and frustrated one day, that as a retort to another friend's comments, he shouted, "JAZZ!". Thus, a new era was born. We all used jazz as a filler word for anything. Jazz pretty much became everyone's last name, as well (Ryan jazz, Susan jazz, Val jazz, Loren jazz, etc etc). Now, the trend has died out....but lives on within my name! muahaha!

How did you get into music therapy?

Well, originally I was going to do clarinet performance and music education. However, by some "odd coincidences"/God's plan for my life, I ended up at Arizona State with one of the top clarinet studios in the nation. Now, I'm really not terrific at clarinet....especially since I don't practice much anymore. And, music education means being a band director, I realized, and I would take death first. Then I heard about music therapy...where you're actually HELPING people with music, rather than using it for your own vain purposes....and alas! A music therapist was born!

How did you get into anime?

My brother has been a huge anime fan for a long, long time now....started the anime club at his high school a few years ago. I used to make fun of him for it and thought it was dumb. But....somehow it started to grow on me, and I realized I clicked with a lot of people who were into it. Gradually....it worked its way into my life, and one day.....I watched FLCL. It has been love ever since...
