Gonna cry

Postby Artist4Jesus89 » Sat Jan 14, 2006 3:17 pm

this makes me so mad yesterday i went to sapulpa oklahoma on a mission trip of sorts where i helped with some other people in my youth group including this guy named lathan and like he is a real big jerk he acts like a great Christian in church and camp services ect but like when outside of it he is all talkin about how i need to loose weight which i know i am just fine the way i have a good weight for my height but im very self concious but like he allways cracks jokes also he is all like making fun of my feet because i am so tall i have big feet and he allways hits me and talks like that to me and it really hurts my feelings and i just want to cry i know its probably stupid but i hate it no one else like my friend Jonathan and David thinks that.
I told david what he said and he got upset with lathan (although david and jonathan dislike him anyways.
He is allways hitting me and he hit me on my shoulder bone with the handle of a hammer on purpose and he thinks that everyone should be able to afford 300 dollar coats and 80 dollar shirts.
I dont know i am seriously fixing to cry while im writing this but i felt like i should express my feelings so please pray for lathan he really needs it.

I will be praying for both of you. Do you stand up for yourself, or do you just take it? Because he needs to know, at least to some degree, how he is making you feel.

I think he knows.... no one with half a brain would think that doesn't hurt... what a jerk... MAN it's probably a good thing I'm not there... I'da either laid the smack-down on him... or gotten myself hurt trying... not that he'd do a LOT of damage to me now... *THINKS HE COULD TAKE COREY NOW... DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT* I'm trained not to start fights anyway... part of my code... and Sifu would lay the smackdown on ME... oh well... I'll still defend my posessions, my friends, and their posessions...

I'm gonna shut up now... before I go WAY off topic... besides... I'm not trying to brag... bluff... or any of that... and I don't want to start...

Well said Kage, this guy is a jerk, he has no right and should be punished/ kept away from you for hitting you. There is not excuse for randomly hitting a girl. {not that we can't defend ourselves}

I'll pray for you.

I'll sort of echo what meboeck said. It seems like you really need to tell him that this bothers you. That way, if he is just ignorantly bugging you, then you're doing your part to fix the situation, know what I mean? I'll be praying for this to get sorted out.

I whole heartedly agree with syreth and meboeck. It's kinda like gossiping about a guy if you talk to others about your problems with him, but you won't even talk to him about them. I strongly encourage you to try to talk to him and tell him how you feel. Odds are, he may be stupid. Maybe he doesn't think about how much it hurts. I have a friend like that. He kinda hides behind a rough exterior and tries to show that he's strong. Often he'll hurt people without knowing it. I don't know the guy that you speak of, but if he's too intimidating to speak to one on one, get a friend to go stand there next to you while you talk to him.
I'll be praying for you.

I am really hurt to read that. I expect it really hurting you, it's sad.
kinda disturbing even...I hate it when a person is different at first ( all nice and ahhhh) and then, in real life, is a total jerk...

I'm praying here, I understand how you feel. :(

BTW: I agree with SH, maybe he's stupid and doesn't know what he's doing...

Hey Girl,
I know how it feels to be mistreated. It's not fun, and I'm sorry you're having to deal with it.
Having been in a situation which I felt was unfair and wrong, feelings with which I am sure you can associate, I just thought I'd share some insight on what I did wrong and what I don't want you to do wrong.

1) This situation must be addressed. What's occurring is unhealthy. Confrontation is necessary. In my situation, I avoid the issue for a while, and nothing good can come from that.

2) Handle the confrontation in the right way. In my situation, I butchered step two. While I did mention the issue to the offending party on more than one occasion, I spent a lot more time talking about the person who was mistreating me with my friends than I actually spent talking to the person hurting me. Matthew 18:15-18 (17 and 18, while pertainent, probably wouldn't be necessary yet) talks a lot about what we're supposed to do when a brother "offends us:" "If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the fault. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. 16 But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses.

It seems you've already gone to this person on your own and asked him to stop. That means, some else probably needs to help you out. This will probably go over a lot better if the person you bring with you is either your mom or an influential adult in your church. Chances are, bringing an adult into the situation will put you a lot closer to "justice." Atleast if it's been discussed with this person by an adult, you will have someone in charge to go to if it doesn't stop.

I'll be praying for you. I know it's not easy for you to be in this situation, but God can rescue you from it, so don't be scared.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
