An idea for compressing the stickyed threads in "General"

Postby Scribs » Wed Jan 25, 2006 12:52 pm

I have noticed that there are a lot of stickyed threads in the General Section of late. There are ten of them to be precise. All of them are necessary, but there are a couple that probably could be combined in order to make the General section a little less crowded. The "What is trolling" thread could be combined with the Ignore feature thread and the "If you spot a troll on CAA" thread. The title could be revised and the opening post edited to contain all the pertinent information from all three. The "Policies" thread, and the "new picture posting rules" threads could probably also be combined. The "post your pic thread moved" is probably old enough news by now that it could either just be unstickyed or combined with the "policies" thread. With all these things implemented (and the inevitable unstickying of the "Anime Angels Emergency") we would go from 10 stickyed threads to only five. Its not an important thing, but it is something that might make browsing the forums a little easier. It’s perfectly fine if you choose not to implement it, I am just throwing the idea out there.

I am liking this idea, for the record. Too many stickies makes for a sticky mess.

I'll take a look at it later tonight. Remind me in a couple days if I forget.

No, four of the threads have been merged into others. Much less cumbersome.

I would assume it is Japanese text. You need some type of language patch to see it, otherwise it appears as question marks or crypto...

I'm not exactly sure what/where the download is for FireFox or IE, because I'm to lazy to download it myself.

Yes, it's Japanese text. It was "doo itashimashite" => you're welcome.
