Does anyone here know a significant amount of information about the performance of cars, their engine, street racing (e.g. 2 Fast 2 Furious)?

Illegal street racing is horrible. :sniffle: I've heard of so many cases, near where I live, about people dying in the resultant "accidents," which, rather are no accident but a choice to disregard the life and safety of other people. Some people *choose* to show no concern for the lives of others by illegally racing, hence it is no accident when someone dies. :mutter: :sniffle:

Sorry, but I feel very strongly about this issue. If you race illegally, you are putting the lives of other people (not to mention yourself) at a lower importance than your personal enjoyment, and that. . .I have no words for how. . .selfish I find that. :sniffle:

Either race legally or nowhere at all. :)

Guys, he's talking about jumped-up car specs, (Which I know little about) not illegal street racing. There's no reason to get upset.

I understand on how some of you feel about the activity of street racing, which I also think is terrible, althought I do not deny the need for speed. What I was generally asking was if there's anyone here that knows enough cars to be a possible mechanic or their apprentice. Oh, also about the the auto shop business.

my subie-roo GL wagon is 4 wheel drive...

anyways, the main rules in california as I know them are:
1. emissions controls...the J-specs arn't specced for us pollution laws
2. ride height (yes it is limited)
3. all US DOT and applicable safety laws
4. noise ordinances

It seems my cousin has a 4 wheel steering 300Z twin turbo...

Hey does anyone know the laws for seats and modified seats or replaced seats? Especially in california? (I keep sliding around in my seats around the turs in my mountainous hometown.)
