My Grandfather

Postby Silent Hunter » Mon Jan 16, 2006 7:36 pm

hi guys. I just got back from the hospital where my grandfather is right now. My Uncle and aunt took him in when he started having somefever symptoms, swelling and couldn't breath right. They aren't sure yet what the problem is, and they aren't sure if they're going to hold him there for the night or not. They said something about heart problems.
Also, pray for him spiritually, I'm not sure if he's saved or not. I didn't think that he was until I was talking to my pastor one time, and my pastor said that grandpa told him he was saved. I don't know if he was trying to impress the pastor or what, but I only God knows the heart. So, i don't really know if he's having one heart problem or two.
anyway, i'd appreciate some prayer for him, thanks everyone.

Thanks for the prayer, guys. Well, he's home (they sent him home around midnight), and he's doing a lot better. He had some sort of infection and will be going to his heart doctor tomorrow.

My mom, who has some medical experience and medical books said that it looked to her like a congestive heart failure.
I hope they're right and it's not too serious. (unfortunately his brother and dad also had heart problems, and his overweightness doesn't help)

Thanks for all the prayer guys! It seems to be not even half as bad as was thought. It seems to be like some bladder infection and some other little stuff. Not any fun, but a lot better than heart problems. Once again, thanks for the prayer.

hey guys, I have another update. My grandfather went to see the lung doctor today and instead of having him go home again just to keep having breathing issues, he was sent straight to the hospital.

He 's going to stay there until they figure out some more stuff. Also, they'll be running a lot of tests. so pray that they;ll be able to get to the root of it.

Also, my grandmother has had bronchitis for a few days, and just pray that she'll take the time to rest so that she'll continue to get better.

Thanks again for the support

I went through the same scenario this time a year ago-- unsure if my pop was saved and watching him have health problems. It's always scary watching someone you love so much be sick and not know where they stand with Christ. I totally sympathize with you. I will be praying for him, SH.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Well, I'm sorry it's taken so long to update again. My Grandfather is doing much better. He's been given some medicines to help his lungs, i'm not sure if they ever figured out what was wrong with his heart, but ya. He's doing a lot better, most likely due to all of the prayer you guys brought to the battle. Thanks for fighting along side of me.
