Eye problems

Postby Bobtheduck » Mon Jan 23, 2006 5:38 pm

Recently, I have had a problem reading text... My eyes are unable to both stay focused on the text. I think one of them is wandering... I say focus, but taht's because I don't have a better term for it... It's not a focus issue... It doesn't get blurry, one of my eyes stops looking at it. It only happens in text, and usually only in black on white or grey, not in colored text and I have no problem with other images... This is a major problem, since I need to read for school...

Trying to focus (or rather trying to keep both eyes on the same thing) and failing has given me headaches. I was thinking this may be migraines, so I took migraine medicine (OTC) but so far there is no change. Well, this is part prayer thread part I need some advice, so I didn't know for sure where to put this.

Now, covering one eye actually has worked, but I can imagine this will make the problem worse, as any attempt to use both eyes together will be hindered more because I'm getting less use of both eyes. If I concentrate really hard I can force my eyes to work, but that takes a second or two and must happen every few seconds, almost doubling my reading time... This is simply not an option...

I'll certainly pray for the condition to be alleviated.

You may want to check with an eye doctor about it. Some of your description (though not all) sounds like symptoms of lazy eye, but there could be another medical problem causing it as well.

Lifting you up, bro.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)
