Wow what an awesome concert! They had a ton of new stuff! Their new album will be coming out in June called "Where do we go from here". The music was awesom, the drummer did a excellent solo and it was all in our college basketball gym so they were real close and the sound was great. They had just gotten back from a tour in NZ and Australia so we were the first in the US in a while. Can't wait to get the new CD!

I've been to one of their concerts earlier this year and I got their Where Do We Go From Here Limited Edition CD. I even got autographs from the band. I can't wait for their next album to come out next year.

I went to one of their concerts a couple years ago. It was a good concert. They played with Disciple and Kids in the Way.

unfortunately for me, Pillar doesn't have any shows scheduled near my part of the country but any concert of theirs is worth the wait.
Simple arithmetic:
FF7 + World War II games = overrated
freedom + things we're lucky to have = taken for granted
manga + anime = a very happy person
Salvation + Jesus' Sacrifice = Eternal Life
a village - its idiot = a lot of smart people
(more to come)

Words of wisdom:
"Who's more foolish: the fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan Kenobi

"Sometimes Justice is a (insert item here)!" - Kato Kaelin

"You wouldn't lie to a judge with a baseball bat, would you?" - Extreme Akim

"For as low as you go, ask God to take you that high." - Tyler Perry

"I had the right to remain silent...I just didn't have the ability." - Ron White

"Your trademark is stupidity!" - Mr. T

"Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them." - Obi Wan Kenobi

"If you can't be good, be good at it." - my uncle
(more to come)

Shout-outs:
SaintKevin, Yahshua, and Lunis, you guys rock!; Pillar, Kutless, 12 Stones, Skillet, and Falling Up for rocking hard, and Jesus Christ for being my Rock!

I missed my chance to see them last summer. Perhaps I will get another chance in the new year. I have their Fireproof and Where Do We Go From Here CD's. I'm looking forward to hearing their new album that they are currently writing and preparing to record. I wonder if they're bring back the rap?

As much as I hate to be typing this, I think they've abandoned the rap for good, but you never know. They're in the studio right now recording their upcoming album, which should be out in the spring of this year.

Do they talk about God and the way He impacted their lives or anything like that at their concerts?

My fav. song is probably echelon.

At the concert I went to last year, Rob didn't really say anything about how God impacted his life but he did sing a few choruses of "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever" during the concert. By the way, expect their next album to be unlike anything you've heard from them. They've went into the studio with about 20 different song ideas including 5 songs that have already been recorded.

I like "Hypnotized" and "Frontline" off of their latest album. It's really good stuff!

"Pride grows in the human heart like lard on a pig." Aleksander Solzhenitzen (so call me on it)
"Zeal without knowledge can lead to chaos." - Bob Rohm
"Why don't we love his truth as much as we seem to love his love?"- Cross Movement, in their song "Check us Out"

If you listen close, you can still catch some of the rap influence in there. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about the change, but I like them either way, seeing as Rob's vocals are nicely interchangeable.(ible? eeble? jorb?)

*lol's at jorb*

Yeah, I really liked their old rap/rock style, but the new stuff is good too. I guess Frontline is the closest thing to Fireproof on the new CD... I don't have their "Above" CD yet. I guess I can get that one if I want more rapping. 8)

So there's this battle that goes on between what you are and what you become, and it's been very important for me to unravel what I was taught to be or what I became. and to draw a direct parallel to music -- the closer I get back to being who I really am, the stronger the music gets..." --Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins frontman)
