For my mother...

Postby Nightshade X » Thu Jan 05, 2006 8:11 pm

Today... I had one of the best days imaginable. I finally got a morning shift and I did all of the things I set out to do today... and if felt wonderful.

...but this isn't about me.

Today, after I came home, I found out that my mom was terminated from her position at her work. Please... pray for her because she's really down about it right now.

Most definitely will do; I had to go through that feeling really recently as well. God will take care of her, though. It might take some time, but He will. I'll pray.

Having just been fired from a job myself, I'll be sure to pray for her so that rejection doesn't set in. Keep us updated! ^_^

I know how that must feel, it's a hard thing to deal with sometimes. I will keep your mom in prayer, I dont know her name though so if you want to, privately send me her name and yours that I may keep in my spiritual warfare times...and remember, God is good. If one door closes, another will open in due time and with faith. Tell your mother not to be full of fear during this time but instead, tell her to fill herself full of God's word concerning her needs and desires. Love her, and take care of her. When you pray, ask and you shall recieve and then pray with thanksgiving every time after. It will come to pass, walk by faith and not by sight. God bless you all

How sad. I'm very sorry to hear about this. I'll be praying that God will both lift her spirits and provide her with a new and better job.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

lol Yeah, she's saved. Her faith is completely in God in all things, which is something I've always admired about her.

To answer all questions, she isn't as bummed about it as she was before. The main thing she really is concerned about is that she doesn't know why she's being fired all of a sudden (I personally believe that it's because we live in L.A., and people here, apparently, can't handle being held accountable... but that's just me.), and she really wants to learn why.
