Need SERIOUS prayer, having an extremely hard time. Urgent...

I need some hard prayer right now. I don't feel at all close to God, or anything at all right now. I mean, it's just so...I dunno, I feel as if I am condemned. Like He has forsaken me. It makes me wonder if I was never really saved to start with, and he gave up, like the Bible says, that God won't tarry with someone's heart for too long. It's really scary, and I don't feel like doing anything really. Not if I feel like this. I need reassurance, and such...I went to the altar today at church, and prayed, but that was temporary, and I thought that it was useless if I was unable to reach God anymore. I know I've asked for prayer alot, but I've never felt like this. I don't know if anyone else has ever struggled this much with their relationship and salvation, but...agh...

Ah...the feeling comes and goes...I'm not sure if I am even right about why I feel this way, but man...I feel it the most right after I KNOW I've doen something wrong.

Mmm... believe me... this problem happeneds alot with people I know and me... I'm still struggling and I have a "family issuse" going on right now so alot of the times I'm up tossing and turning wondering where the furby God is...

You will have dry moments in your faith when it feels as if God has deserted you, I know I had the same thing. But he's always there by your side. Use this as a moment to endure and become more trusting in God and his faithfulness.

I'll tell you what I told someone else. If you were truly saved, then you can never lose that salvation, and if not, then that is the place to start. Evaluate your life and ask some questions. Am I producing the fruits of godliness that I should be? Do I even desire deep down to do those things? Do desire to be close to God? Do I desire to read His word and fellowship with Him or is it just something I do b/c I'm told that I should?

If you are feeling distant from God, He is not the one distanced himself. One of you is making walls between you and Him and it's not Him. If you want to be close to Him, you have to give up your sins. Come to Him with a broken spirit, admitting that your attempts to satisfy yourself aren't enough. And as it says in Psalm 9 10 and 12 - you O Lord, have not fosaken those who seek after you, you don't forget the cries of the humble.
Go to the Lord, throwing aside all else, in humbleness and pour your heart out before Him. Accept His love and mercy, and don't doubt His saving power, once a child of god, always a child of God.

Satan will try to cause doubt in your heart. If you believe that you aren't saved, then take His free gift and claim it as your own. If you are His, then dive into his scriptures DAILY and never forget that your salvation can never be taken away.

Jesus said in John 10: 27-29 -
27"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:", 28"I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.", 29"My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."

Thanks, everyone. You know what's awesome? Last night, as I was opening my Bible, it fell open to a page in Lamentations, where my Bible had a little footnote...and it told me exactly what I needed to hear. It's lifted a burden off my shoulders. God really DOES talk to you through his word!

Dude, I'm really glad to hear that you heard from God and that you were encouraged. Just remember, our walk with God is not based on how we feel, but it is based on the truth. Feelings do have their place, but truth does not change in the way feelings do. May God bless you as you walk in obedience and seek His face. I've been praying for you, man!

Hey man,

Glad to see you're doing better, and praise God for speaking to you through His Word! I know I've said this quite a bit lately (because Satan's talking this kind of trash to a lot of people lately), but don't forget, when Satan starts coming against you with feelings that you've run too far to be covered by God's grace, or that you can't be forgiven, remember what the Bible says about how much you mean to God, how much He loves you, and who you are in Christ.

Jesus loves you so much that He died for you, and His blood is powerful enough to cleanse all your sins. If it wasn't and if we were saved based on how good we could be, then there would have been no need for Christ to die. And not only that, but Christ has given us a new nature to where we are no longer bound to sin. Sure, we still occasionally slip. But it's not God's will for us to always go around feeling that we've sinned, in fear of His judgement. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). And Christ has set us free from sin and fear; the distractions that would try to tell us otherwise and bind us back into fear do not come from the One who calls us (Galatians 5:8).
