Scholarships, College, and other Senior junk. XD

Well, a few of your were praying for me as I took the ACT. Your prayers worked. XD I got a high enough score to pretty much get a free ride to the state college that I was almost 100% sure I was going to go to. It seems, though, now that I actually have a chance at going to a Christian college that I never really thought I could ever attend (I didn't feel it would ever be God's will for me to have $100,000 of student debt, based upon the sentiments about debt which are laid down in the Bible. That decision caused me to disregard private Bible schools all together.) Well, the Bible collge has told me that I qualify for $10,000 a year plus the 4 or 5 grand which I get from state scholarships. That still leaves some tutition on top of the scholarships, though, which is one of the hang ups I'm dealing with right now.

I could just use some prayer in this. I sort of put the private Bible school on the list to have my ACT scores sent to it as a sort of fleece (Not completely, but a little bit.) When they called last night to inform me of my ACT scores and to tell me that I qualified for their presidental scholarship, I was pretty floored.

I want to do God's will in this. I need guidance and prayer. I don't know whether it would be God's will that I go to the state college which will be paid for entirely by acedemic scholarship or whether I would be better off going to the Bible school and trusting that I'll get the money somehow. I just don't know.

Thanks to everyone who read this. I appreciate each and everyone of you so much. *hug*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Praise God that He's blessing your way. I'll pray that the Lord would help you come up with the rest of the money. Don't worry. As a wise man once said, "where God guides, He provides."

Praise God! Congratulations on your success. May God grant you wisdom and lead you to where He'd have you to be.

Certainly no shame in going to a state school, and you would still be able to find fellowship there. I guess it would depend on what you want to go into.

first...congrats on the awesome ACT score! *jealous* lol. I did good but not that good. great job!

second, my personal advice would be to at least visit the Bible college. As much as I know you can still get Christian fellowship @ non-Christian colleges, there's no denying you have to be very grounded in what you believe morally. I've seen public education do some screwy things to friends. :( so yea.....good luck w/ your decision. :)
