Crushing Blow...I need LOTS of prayer

Postby ChristianKitsune » Sun Dec 25, 2005 8:53 pm

hey, guys..I just recieved some really really bad news...

One of my closest's friends parents are on the verge of getting a divorce. I won't go into the details...but lets just say lots of bad things happened tonight (and its her birthday too) and she just called me.

Right now she lives with her mom in the same town as Kiba-Kun and I. and her father lives in another state.

Tmw she leaves to visit him for the holidays...however...she might not be coming back...If the divorce does go through they will lose their house.. and if it doesn't and they (Her Stepdad and her mom) do get back together she isn't gonna come back at all..)

THis is just KILLINg me inside...I have known her since I was in the 5th grade...and we have been best friend through a lot.

However, I really really want what is best for her...I want her to be happy! The pain I am feeling inside..is terrible...and the last time a friend of mine moved away I was depressed for months afterward. She was a friend I could really confide in...and this is going to be...so VERY hard to deal with...

I am not only asking for prayers for me, above all I am asking for you guys to pray for her!. She has been into a lot of weird stuff and a month ago she told me was thinking about going back to church, however, the home she is going to now, encourages really immoral things..and that, above all else, above losing her, and never seeing her again, scares me the most. I want what is best for her, and I want her to be safely happy.....

Thanks guys...I really appreaciate this in advance!

IN Christ

I'll pray that she would rest in the arms of Christ and find comfort in His word. Definately encourage her to go to a good church because that's where she'll find much of the positive support she needs. I pray she would stay strong during this tough time and that you might be there for her as a true friend.

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that! I'll be praying that God will heal all the hurt that's going on right now and that he will mercifully put back together what seems to be broken in this family.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I just got off the phone with her. Her plans have changed. She might come and live with her aunt here in town or move to a town only 20 miles away. So, THANKS EVERYONE for your Prayers. I REALLY appreciate them. Her step father is going to be taken care of too.

Thanks again everyone!
