Hello and welcome. Please stow all luggage in the overhead compartments and keep your feet out of the aisle.

Lady Macbeth was my favorite character in that play when we read it for school.

What kind of stuff do you write?

Though it isn't too difficult to find.

Actually, I do know you as a writer, and I've skimmed some of your work (Saiyuki, I believe - it has been a long time). I didn't make the connection earlier because I so rarely visit Media Miner and because your account is fairly sparse with the X stories removed, as they are for non-members. It took you mentioning it for me to remember that you're one of the head moderators at the site.
EDIT: In retrospect, that comment seems really wierd on its own. I trust it isn't somehow taken in a negative manner?

Not at all. :thumb:

And yes, my account is very sparse with the non-adult material hidden; that's why I tend to offer up links via PM, so that I can send a more detailed synopsis of the adult ones if someone's interested. Some of my adult content is fine with people and some of it they would rather not see.

 One of my fellow moderators prefers not to read any of my work if they can avoid it. It's all personal preference.

It's actually been a rather long time since I've been anywhere but MediaMiner. I first started posting to the Web at large in 1997, and I joined MediaMiner when they first opened in October of 2001. I also have my work archived on other sites, but those are all behind "18+" warnings and at least one of them is a password-protected archive to keep under 18s out.

And, since most of my stuff was bannable at FanFiction.net after their NC-17 ban, I chose to simply follow their rules and removed my account. I don't believe in having empty, unused accounts anywhere, and their definition of adult content has proven different than MediaMiner's, so I simply pulled all of it to be safe.

I am officially retiring from fan fiction writing (not original fiction, just fan fiction) on January 1, so only my completed fics are available on my website. For the sake of people who still like my WIPs, I left them up on MediaMiner along with the completed works. That's why I tend to offer up links to MediaMiner, even though it's not as popular of an archive as others - it's the one place where people can find a comprehensive listing of things that I've written that are still decent enough to be posted on the Web. (I've written other stuff, it's just all been pulled because it's garbage. )

It's nice to have you on CAA.

I noticed you in the coloring contest, with a very nice entry. Oh, and I may have mentioned it before, but in that contest, if you can tell that it is the same picture, and it is in on time, it is eligable to win... Though I have never won, and I have entered every one, and I know the judge personally... Hmmm. Oh well.

Glad to see you here.

I thought I told you that was changed to "Gobsidian." Geeze. One little skirmish past the outer marker and he suddenly thinks he's God.

Well, sorry, but the throngs of adoring worshippers make it an easy mistake to make.

Well, it's kinda belated, but welcome to the CAA!

I loved your entry to Olorc's coloring contest, the lighting was excellent and I liked how polished it was. And the reflected lighting in the hair was really cool. You seem to be quite talented. What's your favorite medium? Do you have any favorite artists, eras in art or styles?

I pretty much live in the art threads and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for your works ^_^

Thanks! My favorite media prior to learning PSP was colored pencil and regular pencil, but I've also developed a fondness for watercolors. I have a love-hate relationship with CG media, because computers do random things (such as crashing in the middle of a project) that traditional media just doesn't have happen. My favorite artists/styles are pretty much by whim - I don't like any particular era or any particular style; there's even some artists whom I like some of their works and not others. (Van Gough is an example - I don't like most of his works, but I like select pieces.)
