Friend's children in a dire situation

Postby Yojimbo » Mon Dec 05, 2005 8:44 pm

This is a prayer for a friend of mine. Some of you may remember I made a prayer request for him some time ago when his kids were physically abused, but I don't think so as I rarely make these unless it's serious. This is a guy that has had some of the worst things imaginable happen to him and his family in his life. Literally if there was ever a cursed human being who didn't deserve it on the earth it would be him.

Kyle's a retired Ranger was there for Gothic Serpent in Somalia(Black Hawk Down event in the book/movie). One skinny bada** is the only way I can put it. Lost his arm there too, at least the use of it, can barely lift a pencil with his left arm from all the shrapnel that was stuck in it. He and his wife have had ups and downs forever, moving in and out and all very sad. He lost his dad last year and got in a severe car crash that same year but was virtually unharmed so that was a good thing for him.

His wife's, who was his ex at the time, earlier this year was seeing this guy who beat the crap out of her and Kyle's two little kids, girl and boy. A real scumbag in short. He went down to the bar he usually goes to and kicked the living snot out of him with his one friggin arm, made him cry too and he begged for mercy. Can't say I feel the least bit sorry for that guy even now. Sorry can't do it, at least not yet, so please don't harp on me about it moving on... Anyway things were going pretty good for him since. Supposedly he and his wife are now doing better than ever, he got a promotion where he works, and he was just feeling happier for once. Then this happened.

Here's what he said anyway...

well I found out last week that my daughter was brought in for a certain problem to the doctor. They did a few tests. They then tell us that she is showing signs of sexual abuse.

We take her in earlier today. Well the cops left awhile ago. They are starting an investigation against the husband of our daycare. They examined my son and have decided that he has some issues as well.

Well in examining Brianna my 2 year old daughter they tell us that she has no Hymen. In other words he touched my daughter. I do not trust myself right now to talk. I am really upset about this. *(He continues but I won't put the stuff he said in this part in here)*

Just to be clear...

Kyle and his wife had ups and downs.
Kyle's wife's boyfriend beat the crap out of her and the kids
They now suspect the wifes bf abused the kids?

Whatever the specifics are, God knows, and it brakes my heart regardless of who it is, and I will pray for this family.
And I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need You to love me

Yeah I'd rather not say too much about he and his wife's relationship. It's a really sad ordeal and very confusing/complicated. And no where I quoted him in his message it says the husband of the lady who runs the daycare they put them in. They have him in custody and they're doing an investigation.

That's terrible. I'll be praying for those children, as well as whoever did this to them. That person definitely needs help, prison time, and, of course, God's salvation, too.

Thanks all I'm sure he'd appreciate it. At least there will be some solace in that this guy will do some good prison time especially if he's convicted of abusing more children at the daycare, and boy won't he have fun there with his daily punishment...being a child molestor. On top of that I hope he takes the wife to court and sues the pants off of her, which he and his wife plan to do, for allowing that pervert of a "spouse" near kids. And it'll stick with him for the rest of his life on his back, wherever he goes he'll have to register. He'll have to deal with people who live near him hating his guts.

Oh man...that would almost make me feel good if this didn't **** me off so much in the first place. These kinds of people are the worst scum on the earth. Anyone who would hurt something, whether it's a child or a dog, so innocent and helpless is lower than the dirt they walk on. Yes yes even these people are made in the image of God, but I just want to be **** off right now. I'll get over it...but those kids won't.

Hi Yojimbo,
I can relate to your feelings concerning this situation, God knows I relate and share your feelings for these kinds of people. Hearing about this kind of stuff always, well, I just dont like it. Especially being I work alot with kids, and just the thought of it is enough to shake my heart and boil the blood.

I will pray, for your friend, for the children, that God touches all of their lives that they may all find peace. Keep us informed.
God bless,
Archan

Yojimbo, I understand your anger. I really do.

Its ok to be angry. Whoever abused the kids, or abuses kids for that matter, is awful. I can not describe the ammount of anger I have towards these people. They are sinful human beings.

But so are we, you and me. You need to work through this with God. As much as it may repulse you to think about it, people like that need God's forgivness too. If we are saved, God over-looked all the horrible heidous things we have ever done, or ever will do, and forgave us and saved us from Hell, and he actualy wants us to be WITH Him.

My point is: If we have recieved God's grace and forgivness, who are we to judge someone else and act as if we are in God's place? We recieved grace, and then we have the audacity to refuse it to someone else?

I'm not saying this is exactaily what you are feeling/need to do... It just has been on my mind. (/rant)

You all have a right to be angry, I would be upset with you were you not, but do not let your anger be the driving factor behind your actions and attitudes. Justice is much better. That's sounds ludicrously cheesy, but it is true. Do not forget, if you can, to show those poor kids love, and make sure they recognize that there are people who love them.

Thanks again all of you for your prayers. I'm sure he and his family would appreciate it greatly. Yes I do know that even people like this are made in the image of Jesus just as much as we are, it's just wanting to understand that is hard... But I have cooled down from that some since and I know justice will be served.

Like I said he'll have plenty of time to repent and do some good with his life after a good chunk of time in the pen and his loss of personal freedom afterwards. Not to menion his wife losing her job and them paying for whatever damages can be settled on, at least I hope that happens. I haven't heard anything new in awhile so we'll see.

Hearing about stuff like this makes me glad that God will make things right in the end. I pray this guy repents and that these children will be healed by the touch of Jesus. I also pray that justice be done and he receives a suitable consequence.
