Dad's job... company being gobbled up by GE

Postby Taka » Tue Dec 13, 2005 12:21 pm

So. My dad may not have a job after the first of the year. But, he will not find out till the first of the year. His company was absorbed by GE, and while he is an excelent worker and exceptionaly bright, he may still be "let go". We have a large family, and this would be hard on all of us. God will provide, but I'm still worried about it. Another alternative is he may be asked to move, to keep his job, and that would be hard as well, and hard for me, considering I no longer live with my family, but would miss them very much if they moved. Please pray.
Thank you. :?:
And I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need You to love me

I'll be praying for you, your dad, and your family. That's a tough thing to face. Let us know how things turn out. :thumb:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

This reminds me of awhile back when my dad's workplace (an aluminum plant) got shut down and many lost their jobs. However, God was good and got us through. He's watching out for your family and will do what's best. I'll be praying that the Lord's will be done and that your family would be comforted.

Any news about your family's situation? I know it's not the first of the year yet, but I wanted to post while your request was on my mind. I just keep thinking about if something like that happened to my family; we're so close, and if they had to move away from me now that I'm on my own, it would indeed be rough -- on all of us. Still praying! :thumb:
