Check this out - you're in someone's house, and you see a block of mexican cheese. What do you do? Well, if you're the person in this news article, you decide that it's cocaine, hire a cop to help you kill the whole family... so that you can sell the cheese on the street.

Someone here is pretty messed-up, and ignorant of her cheeses to boot. (Is it more sad or more stupid? You decide.)

She must've been on something in the first place to have mistaken cheese for cocaine. What's so sad about this is the idea that she was willing to kill people (including children) for drugs or in this case cheese mistaken for drugs. This world is so messed up.

Queso fresco isn't even one of the more expensive or hard to get cheeses - it was probably no more than $10 worth of cheese.

Good stuff, though.

Isn't it that stuff you get at Mexican restaurants to dip your chips in?

The cheese in the article was described as crumbly. However, I have seen that kind of cheese before, and I don't see how anyone could mistake it for cocaine, whether powdered or rocks.

Judging by the appearance of the cheese, the lady was either on something or just a complete dodo-head. :P

Both very funny and somewhat scary... I better not leave the appartment with talcum powder on my clothing... I may be assassinated... Or I may help catch a dumb cokehead... Coke is for dopes... Stick to Pepsi.

I'll have to try it some time then if it's available here. Now if I cane ver get my hands on some of that truffled stuff I had once  or maybe some applewood smoked chedder  . Mmmmm...cheese.

You really do have to be a special kind of stupid to have made this mistake though. Grated Parmesan maybe....
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.
