Job hunting

Postby meboeck » Mon Dec 05, 2005 3:20 pm

I currently have a job, but I need to get a new one. I work as a personal assistant for a student with cerebral palsy, and he has been absent a lot recently. While I love working with him, when he isn't there, I don't get paid. And that's becoming a real problem. And my family's financial situation is getting to where I feel like I need to get a job with health benefits. Please pray that God will open up the right doors and that my anxiety level will stay down while I am waiting for something to come through.

Sorry for double posting, but there is already an important development in my job search. I put in an application today at Build-A-Bear, and I was already contacted by the management! I have an interview set up for Wednesday. Please pray that the interview goes well and more importantly that they have an open postition with the hours I need. Because I pretty much need a full time job, especially if I'm going to get a job with benefits. Build-A-Bear totally fits my personality, and I would love to get a job there if that's what God wants.

I have an update and another prayer request. The interviews with Build-A-Bear went really well, but if I do get offered a job it probably won't be as many hours as I need. On the upside, I have an interview at Red Robin, a hamburger restaurant (not fast food.) Please pray that that goes well.

PRAISE GOD!!!!
I just got hired at Red Robin! I will start orientation on Monday. Quitting my old job will be easy because the student I work with is out of town right now and will be for another week or two. So I am free from that obligation, but I will still be getting paid soon. Yay!

Praise God, and thank you for sharing.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)
