Actually, his manly pride is quite safe. He wins most every game we play, with the possible exception of Boggle, and some games that require very little skill. Sometimes I beat him at poker. I guess I have a decent poker face.

I think it would have been cool to be the apostle John, just because he was very close to Jesus.

Oh, the Gospel of John ranks high (see above reason). I also like Genesis -- lots of interesting stories -- and the books that talk about King David's life, for the same reason. Job is also cool for all the nature imagery. I also like parts of Revelation, particularly the parts that talk about heaven. This is not an exhaustive list.
