I need a little help deciding on a video game.

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

I need a little help deciding on a video game.

Mods if this belongs in the video game section i apologize.

My grandparents are going to be sending my brothers and me our christmas gifts on Friday and I'm not sure what video game i want to ask for. I prefer games that are action and adventure. Violence and other things in T or M rated games doesn't bother me.

Does anyone know of any good games?:?:

Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

The Ratchet & Clank series is pretty good. Also the Onimusha games.

First Question: What system are you wanting to get the games for?

Answer: Ratchet and Clank, Return of the King, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden.

Shadow the Hedgehog is quite fun, with lots of action and plenty of replay value enhancing options. I also recommend DDR: Mario Mix if you have a GameCube. Both are great!

If you have an Xbox, Ninja Gaiden is a must. Go for Ninja Gaiden Black, actually.

Do you have SSBM? 'Cause if you don't, you should get that.

Sheesh, even Nintendo-haters who only play Halo say they like that game.

R.

E.

4.

The best game of '05 (IMO). As for which version, I would recommend PS2. The graphics are down a notch, the load times are a little longer, but there's more stuff in the game than in the GC version.

Hmm, Gamespot seems to think the GC version is better.
But they have been known to care more about graphics than they probably should.
Anyway, my sister recommended RE4 as the best game in the universe, and then it landed in the top ten most violent games along with GTA. Anyone who says Nintendo is kiddy...

Yeah, the GC version has much better graphics and real time cut-scenes (the PS2 has pre-rendered), not to mention quick load times.

The main difference between the two is the addition of a new costume set (once you beat the game once on a difficulty, it unlocks additional character costumes for the same difficulty. There are 2 on GC and 3 on PS2), 2 new guns (the Plaga Remover and the Bow Gun), a new game mode (Separate Ways, a supplement to the main story that is appx. 5-6 hours long) as well as all of the other stuff on the GC version. Like I said, I highly recommend the PS2 version.

The games I would recommend would be: Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi, Madden NFL 06, Blitz: The League, DDR Extreme 2, and Soul Calibur III.
