I am discouraged. I know we won't ever be perfect here on this earth, but what about just trying to grow and making progress? I can be so lazy, and I need God's faithfulness and streingth to grow. Please pray for me as I make major changes in the way I approach life.

Sure, I'll be praying for you. A word of encouragement, after asking God's strength, have the will to walk right, for "faith without action is dead." So don't worry, John 14: 14 "If you ask anything in His(JESUS) name, He would do it."

Romans 6:6&7 - Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth(from that point on) we should not serve sin, for he that is dead is feed from sin.....Verse 14 - for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you aren't under the law, but under grace - 18 - being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Once saved, we have the power, through the Holy Spirit, to have power over our sins. Before, we couldn't. We were servants to sin, but now we can resist any sin through the strength He gives us. You can succeed over sin. You just have to make that right choice in each situation you are faced with, which sure isn't easy ( i'm sure you've heard all of this before, and you don't need me preaching to you) I will be praying for you.

Thank you all for your prayers. I would appreaciate continued prayer on this... I am in desperate need of change, but very afraid of it. I need the perserverence to keep doing this, even after the initial period of panic driven motivation subsides.

Yeah, change is a on going process. Without change, we wouldn't really accomplish much in life. Change can sometimes be scary, but we all have to face it eventually so we can continue to grow and learn. I think most of us can relate to how you feel. I'll be sure to pray for ya and that things go smoothly.

I'll post this here, I don't want to take up lots of space. I have alot going on right now that I am struggleing with. I just had a very hard talk with my boy last night about things from my past, and while I am relieved that he finialy knows these things... it scares the crap out of me as well to so vunerable. ...I'm having issues with things from my past haunting me, basacaily and am afraid of what sharing them will "do" to my relationship with my boy.

Just so I'm clear however, when you say "Your Boy" do you mean your boyfriend?

Archan, you are correct, my boy= my boyfriend. I don't like the normal connonations that go along with "boyfriend". Very junior high... To me.

Being remade into a new creation was very scary for me, too. To know you are going to lose who you are as you have always known yourself is freaky. I'll pray for you.
