My Mega Man X site

Postby Roll » Sat Dec 13, 2003 9:28 pm

Hello, everyone! I'd like to know what you all think of my site. It's designed to be kind of like a choose-your-own-adventure book, and I recently started up a feature where you can register and be part of a virtual community. Please visit and let me know how you like it, okay? Thanks much!!

Very cool! :thumb: Obviously, there's an awful lot of depth in it, too ^^ ... how long did it take you to put together?

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
The current version took me lots of spare time over a span of about eight months. It wasn't quite complete when I posted it, though; I'm hoping to have the furniture manipulation feature ready by the end of February 2004.

That site is cool. I've loved Megaman since the day I got Megaman 1 on my Gameboy in the early 90s! He is one of the best game characters out there

But you probably guessed I liked him since <---- is a pic of him! lol

I had a look at it a while ago and went through Dr. Cain's lab (though I couldn't quite figure out what I was doing), but it looked good so far. :thumb: I'll have to go take another look at the rest of it when I have time. ^_^

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! Unfortunately, the server hosting the site is having security issues, so certain parts of the site aren't working anymore. If I manage to land a new job, I'll probably switch to a new server, but until then....

Have you ever thought of setting up your own server to host it on? It's just a thought.

By the way, I had a look at the other areas of Monsteropolis and they're all very nicely written, but I still had trouble figuring out what to do. (That forest maze was awful; I never did find my way out! *pulls hair* ) But it looks really good otherwise. You should set up a guestbook so I can sign it! ^_^

No plans to set up my own server in the near future, but if more reasons to do so come up besides RAU, I'll consider it. By itself the site doesn't seem worth all the effort and money it'd take to do that.

Thanks for the compliments! Say, what do you all think of my offering a strategy guide for the adventure? Would you be willing to donate $1 for it (which would be used toward domain maintenance and future annual drawing prizes)?
