Simply, post your dream games that no one will probably ever make…

My thoughts on what I would really like is a Jedi oriented game outside of the normal timelines, run as a cross between JKII and Morrowind - a large expansive world to explore, no pre-rendered cutscenes, leveling up in an organic way, new Force powers come on level-up - but through joining a Jedi Temple and training with a master. Same for new moves / styles. Big open story with multiple endings and loads of good/bad side quests. Character interact would be a lot like Kotor (solid voice work, great presentation). The graphics and physics would be on the level of Oblivion (go check out the videos on that game, if you haven't), while the gameplay would be not only tactical, but also be skill (twitch) based. -unlike the standard RPG. Instead one of just one gigantic mega-huge world, I'd like to see two different worlds; one medium sized world and one huge world. One of the worlds would be Coruscant. -I've always wanted to free-roam around there. However, while the world would be cool at first, it might become tedious. So, it'd be a good starting point. The huge world (size of Morrowind or a tiny bit smaller) would be a nice varied world. Something outer-rim-ish.

I've got some others, but I'm lazy right now...

A whole line of CAA vs.... fighting games.

CAA vs Clamp

CAA vs Tokyopop

CAA vs DC Comics

CAA vs Marvel

Can't you just see the potential? Jaw dropping showdows such as:

Ashley vs Batman?

Shatterheart vs The Punisher?

Gypsy vs Card Captor Sakura?

Straylight vs Wolverine?

Don't forget the Double Team Matches:

UC and Kaemerrite vs Superman and Green Lantern?

Shooraijin and Lightbringer vs Spider Man and Magneto?

Mithrandir and Capn Nick vs Edward Elric and Kenshin?

An anime-themed Super Smash Bros.-style game that allows full customization of your character (appearance, body size/shape, outfit, attacks, etc).

The same, only replace "Super Smash Bros.-style game" with "MMORPG".

A Detective Conan RPG/strategy type game, although it would be too difficult to create for them to ever consider it. Way too many complex scenarios to cook up.

first of all i would never fight spiderman. NEVER.

One nice one would be a game that the producers of Crono Cross apologise profusely for makeing that game, then blow themselves up.

Other then that id like to see a Tenchu Stealth assasins style game *that updates itself with better control and moves* set in a modern day story, without the horrible japanese sterotypical ninja gameplay of blurred whisps and magical traps. Just stealth, swords, some guns. and a actual good story.

Another would be a Zoids game thats in depth and realistic, better yet make a 100 dollar attachment controller that comes with the game so its realistic feeling. Give it a bunch of rpg elements, and a 50 + hour story with multiple story arcs for replay.

A puzzle game where everytime i get an answer right, where ever he is on earth, Al Gore gets an electric shock.

Oprah Commando, a squad based shooter where you infiltrait harpo incorporated and topple the evil new age nutcase known as "the oprah"

A fighter/rpg where you can customise and control your own fighter, design and customise your own weapon and fighting style and do some quests. Is this soul calibur 3? im not sure , i havn't played it yet. but if its not, there needs to be a game like that.

YES. Holy crap, that would rock so friggin' hard.

I'd like to see another Mega Man RPG, too. Mega Man X Command Mission was GREAT, and a sequel to that (or an RPG starring the original Megaman) would kick butt, too.

Heh, was waiting for someone to post so I wouldn't double post.

We need Square-Enix to do another Super Mario RPG. The first one rocked SO hard. Paper Mario is awesome, but not as good as SMRPG, to me...I'd really like to see another one of those.

Oh, I totally agree. And something I personally would like to see is a new, more involved Pokemon Snap. I thought the original was very unique and well planned. It was just that the graphics were so good they took up all the memory. With all the memory these games have now, they could essentially turn it into an RPG. But alas, I doubt they will ever do that.

i second kaemmerite's vote for a third chrono game and another sailor moon rpg.

i'd also like to see more shin megami games come to the US. I'd love it if all the old shin megami games got translated and brought over in a compilation or something. that would rock.

Can't think of any anime ones that would good, but a few live action movies would be cool:

Battle Royale: done in Counterstrike style

Lone Wolf and Cub: Fighting game

One that would not be good:

Zatoichi: First Person combat game

Here's pulling for a Matantei Loki Ragnarok video game that's more than an amusing rehash of "jan ken pon" - an RPG I could definitely see happening, though I wouldn't protest to a good-old beat em' up arcade style fighter either. xD I'm hoping the PS2 game they're making will be something like that, but we'll see...

Technically, no RPG can have a realistic battle system. If the battle system was truly realistic:

A single slice/shot/stab/whack/ect. from a sword/gun/spear/hammer/ect. would bring the character taking the hit down instantely in a pool of blood, and you couldn't revive them.

Following the laws of physics, any of the magic spell (even the most basic ones) would fry any character immediately on impact.

There will always have to be a high degree of unrealism to any RPG. There are ways you could tweak a battle system to be more realistic, but in order to keep playability, it will always have to be quite unrealistic.

The most realistic battle engine for an RPG I have seen is Granstram Saga. Much more realistic than star Ocean.
