New Metroid and Metroid Prime games

Postby Takuya » Mon Nov 21, 2005 6:10 am

So, who can't wait for Metroid Prime 3 and Metroid V: Revolution to come out?

I am SO getting Revolution. I'll get Prime 3 with the other Prime games. That'll be when I get a Nintendo Revolution, seeing as how I want all three games and would rather NOT waste money on both systems and you only get back PART of the value when you return/ sell/ trade a game or system.

Also, sooner or later, I'm coming out with a fangame. Heck, it MIGHT become Metroid V.V. I'm not gonna have a problem getting my hands on Metroid V, seeing as how it's, no doubt, for the GBA/ GBA SP/ NDS.

For all those who didn't know, GBA games are compatible with the Nintendo Dual Screen. Only problem is, no WiFi. That sucks. Especially since They're starting to do a WiFi net that acts as a form of internet.

I'm gonna do some research on MP3 and MV: R and report back here.

I found this information at:

http://metroid-eu.com

Oh, BTW, if you decide to use the Sector 4: AQA map for Fusion use this link, theirs is broken:

Active map:

Correct map:

Maybe no one cares to talk about Metroid games. Or that goofy Remote-Controller thing Nintendo's making now.

I don't like the direction Nintendo (or Retro) is going with this whole Metroid Prime: This and Metroid Prime: That. It's starting to get beaten to death, and that's not how I'd like the Metroid series to end up. I was starting to get worried when they were working on a Metroid Prime 2. How about a Metroid This or Metroid That now that we've got that whole FPS thing worked out?

I absolutely loved MP1, however MP2 didn't have that "as awesome" feeling, but nethertheless an EXCELLENT game

i can't wait for more of them

I would also LOVE a 3rd person metroid game for the DS or Gamecube/Revolution, all 3d and sexy

Well, they said that MP3 had a theme of "closure", which might mean it concludes the Metroid Prime series.
Somehow I doubt it though...

If you're that afraid of it, then fear not. Prime is only a side part that takes into the FPS world. They still make 2-D versions. And personally, I liked the Prime games. Alot.

Actually, I'd like that. Not the games ending, but to see the end of the story. I mean, the last chapter so far would be Fusion, in which Samus has now become half-Metroid. If they intend to keep that in the successing game, imagine where it might go from their (perhaps an exploding planet she won't be able to escape from...). Even if they did something like that, there's still plenty of adventures she could have had inbetween.

Oh, and is this the correct timeline? I think I read it in EGM before:
Metroid (Zero Mission)
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime II
Metroid II
Super Metroid
Metroid Fusion

I believe metroid fusion is more of a sidequest as well, and didn't go along well with the storyline

but it was a sweet fun game!
