I want to date this girl, but....

hmm...I have been having this really good relationship with this one girl I know..and I finally have the courage to ask her to a movie...However....
Iam 17, and she is 14...so if I would it would be a double date, plus an adult ( I even now who would come with us)...
So...when I asked my parents...they said "We arent going to tell you no, but, that could be a disaster". Cause, the thing is, that my friend (who would be the other person) gave her a real hard time..and even though he said he was sorry to her...my parents think Iam stupid for me to go and ask him to go with me, like I dont trust him anymore....
Not only that...but, shes 14...and I know you may say I dont know what could happen...but I would nerver, EVER do anything to her....EVER!
And even though my parents trust me 100%, they said stuff, like other people could lie, that somthing did happen..and stuff like that...But I trust my friend now...and if he acts up, Ill punch him, lol.

I just pray, that the Lord's will will happen in this....I just really want to do SOMTHING with her....
I know she is young...but she is the first person to even admit she likes me...and I just want to be with her...

Dude...no. Just...no. It doesn't MATTER that you wouldn't do anything to her. It's still socially unacceptable. If she was 18 and you were 21, that's fine...but it's still socially unacceptable for you to be dating her right now...ESPECIALLY considering you're probably turning 18 in the near future, and then you'd be dating a minor.

I know you want to be with her, but if you really want to be with her THAT bad, then she's worth waiting for, right? So you can wait four years.

Yeah......my relationship with her has been more of a curse than a blessing..just for that very reason....and I feel real sad about..

Yeah a (soon to be) four year age gap with one of the partners below 18 is not such a good idea. And it makes a big difference in terms of maturity and all that. Like Kae said when you're in 20's and 30's it's not such a big deal but those four years right there could really mean the difference in alot of things. And your friend doesn't sound like the kind of guy I'd take on a double date with anyone.

ok i know i'm a girl ,but i can help i don't if you should ask or not but i am goona sayi went out with a 15 guy when i was 12 and it was ok he was really nice but then he moved and we broke up but we are still friends what im' trying to say is go with what god wants you to do just remember girls are not usally goning to make the first movethere scaerd as much as you over guys just be your self

And I thought a 15/16 was an age gap.
Yes, I like a guy that's one year younger than me( we haven't confessed it ). And I'm soon 16 when he's 15,
conscidering that 16 is a 'age mark', and I don't like the idea that this is happening in GERMANY either. Nor that we are not on the same level spiritually. I know that 1 year doesn't make a difference, but I've got other issues...prideful ones I guess. ( Why should he wait only 15 years for his first girlfriend, and I 16? )

But I'm sure god'll make it flow the right way.

And both these cases are nothing.
This one girl I now online had a 4 age gap ( 14 and 18 ), your's is currently still 3.
