What do you mean you don't know me enough??? O_o ^^ We spent a good time together at the "Not Normal" thread, with great "conversations" throughout it. ^^

Cephas, I think you are reading too much into things. You make a thread that asks what people opinions are of you, and then you start to get upset everytime somone doesnt specifically say that they lilke you? It seems to me like you are fishing for compliments and then are not happy when you dont get as big of a catch as you had anticipated. I think that it is safe to say that the majority of the people on this site (myself included) think that you seem like a pretty nice guy, but do not have enough info about you to make a good judgement of your character.

Ah, I may have missinterperted the meaning of your remarks. On the internet, it is very easy to do this since any emotion or emphasis in the words is inserted by the reader. I suspect that while reading your statements I simply pictured them being said with a tone you had not intended. Never mind.

I think one would ask this: If someone did not like you (and I am not claiming this of myself), would they say so here? This is a Christian board with fairly tight standards about trolling and flaming. I can't see anyone saying anything about you in this thread that is NOT nice.

You mean in PM or in public?

Anyway, if someone's got constructive criticism they want to share and you're cool with that, then good. Just sayin' you should take a grain or two of salt with this.

Did that really need to be brought up again? It is only loosly related to the topic at hand, and all it could accomplish is bringing up old conflicts.

Well, i havnt noticed any specific problems or anything, but I would advise not making threads like this. They dont, in my opinion, usually bring up conversation worthy points. They either just bring a bunch of poeple saying your a nice person, and people dont generally bring out constructive criticism because of a desire not to offend. *Shrug* I guess I just dont find this type of thread to be all that useful (and yes I guess I am being hypocritical by posting on it.)

As far as constructive criticism goes I do have something for you. I agree with Scribs on every point. These kinds of posts along with the "mod" thread give me the impression that you're seeking attention. Along with the going away thread some time ago that seemed to never end and might of actually been locked because of that, can't remember. Whether that was your original intention or not or you just don't realize it that is how it comes off to me.

I don't know you personally or your character and I'm not gonna sit here and pick your brain. This is the internet as Scribs pointed out and we all act somewhat differently here. I feel it takes knowing someone in person flesh and blood to really be able to judge their character. Emotions and attitudes can be hidden and checked easily when it's a forum, a chatroom, or over the phone.

This is just my blunt opinion since you were looking for constructive criticism no malice here.

Well, I think that was more of a joke, seeing as how he's apparently a mod/admin on some other site, and wanted to see if people thought he acted like one.

As far as constructive criticism, I have a bit, but it would be a case of the pot calling the kettle black, so I shall avoid saying it.

I second what Scribs and Yojimbo are saying. I don't have much to add to what has already been said there.

I can't say, since I haven't communicated with you directly nor have I read many of your posts. Offhand, though, this doesn't seem like an appropriate thread for general discussion.

I mean, I'm not sure how I would feel if everyone else started threads asking what people thought of them...

LOL why should you care?

Live your life, be happy, live for God! Be yourself and who cares what others think about you? ^^

If you think you are a good person, Cephas, do you really need others to tell you so?

I'm not saying that you shouldn't be concerned about what people think of you. What I am saying is that if people don't know you, you shouldn't be concerned with what THEY think of you--it's the people who YOU know and who YOU have had personal contact with.

Say several of your friends are in a room full of strangers, or mere acquaintances. Would you say, "Hey everyone, what do you think of me?" even though most don't even know who you are? To them, it might seem that you're just asking for attention.

That said, I think that if you must know what people think of you, ask the people who are most important to you.

Good advice guys.

Well, I just wanted to know if there's something I should change, you know, posting something offensive most of the time, commenting anything that I shouldn't...you know...those kinda things that I don't notice.

I havnt noticed any specifically offencive posts on your count, though your "I am leaving in a month lets do a countdown and make a big fake ceremony" thread was very annoying. It was made even more annoyinb by the fact that you never left (or left for only a month or something.) But that is all over now, and it wasnt a problem, just a little irritating. As for offensive posts, I dont specifically remember anyl, but to avoid any in the future common sence goes a long way. If it looks like something that goes against the rules then dont post it.

Most of the stuff I would have said has been covered by scribs yojimbo and others, but my question is why make a thread like this? Why would you even need other people telling you what they think of you? At the moment their are only two people you TRULY need to care how they think of you, and that is yourself and God and maybe increase that number to three if you get married.

Or you could just ask people to PM you with their comments. I'd be a hypocrite myself if I didn't say all this.... rear-sniffing, if you will, isn't necessary in public. Instead of asking what people think of you, why don't you simply ask if they see anything you need to improve. Keeps the flowery stuff to a minimum.

I agree with Scribbs as well. This comes off as attention seeking, plain and simple. Like a little 13 year old who doesn't know where to base their worth, and decides to poll their peers and if they are liked, they must be a sucess, if they are disliked, it is the end of the world. A bit over dramatic, but it illustrates my point.
