Confusion. >T_T<

Postby c-girl » Wed Nov 16, 2005 5:17 am

I've been observing myself lately. >^.^<; Not my image. But my religon and my beliefs.

And I've become confused. WHAT AM I?? >@.@<

I don't exactly believe in all the same stuff as most christians do. So I'm not sure if I pray to the same God as christians.. I don't believe you have to be christian to go to heaven. And I don't beleive in everything the bible tells me. I just listen to what God tells me.

I know there's God. But who? Are all the Gods that have been discovered, really just one God, but in different forms? >0_o<.. I am very curious, open-minded and free. I love learning about other religions, cultures, and traditions. But I have no boundary. Most people have a book to follow or some kind of guideline. I don't have a book, or an image of what God looks like or is. I believe in most of christianity, but not all of it. Does that make me not a christian? Christianity says not to allow your mind to wander. But mine does.

Am I a christian? Or am I just one of a kind? Am I an outcast?

>^^<;; Um.. Pray for my confusion... Opinions are welcome..
I live to love and love to live! >^.^<

You're asking questions, which is good, and God will answer them.

However, I'd have to say that if you believe non-Christians go to Heaven, you would unfortunately fall outside the realm of what would be considered true Christianity.

But this is not a thread for debate or discussion. It's a thread for prayer, and I will pray for you, c-girl.

You've been PM'D!!! :hug:
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I'll be praying for you.

What you might want to know is that when my paralyzed, very Christian grandfather was dying (there were witnesses, including my grandmother, who told this to me), he was dying of cancer, and, well, he was...coughing up blood and should've been in a lot of pain, but he wasn't aware of anything. It was like his soul had already left his body, but he was telling my grandmother what he was seeing. He was running towards a city, and he was seeing his Christian friends, and saying things about seeing Jesus, then he died.

Just something interesting to hear/read that might help you. Only one religion can be true because of the things the different religions differ on. For example, according to Christianity, only Christians go to heaven and according to Islaam, only Muslims (or is it another word?) go to heaven. So both religions could not possibly be right because they contradict each other. One can't go to both heaven AND hell, right?

Just bringing that up before this becomes a public debate, at which point I will swiftly withdraw myself.

Keep what I just said in mind, and PM me if you want to go deeper. I'll be praying for you, C-girl.
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

It's true that the Bible teaches us to stand in the truth, but It never says it's a sin to question. My advice: Seek God out with all your heart. In Jeremiah 29, God tells us that we will seek Him and find Him when we search for Him with all our hearts.

Hopefully this is of some encouragement. I'll be lifting you up in prayer.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Well Christians believe that the Bible is the Word of God... I don't think you can pick and choose what fits our needs accordingly- that's not how faith in God works. Not everything can be sugar coated. Yeah there are some really nice good people who aren't christians, but the fact is we all sin and fall short of Christ.

You got a lot of other people who are have already sent PM's but like everyone else has stated, if you ever need to talk my PM is always open. I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers, and that you find the answers you seek.

A lot of people are sending you PM's, so I'm not going to do the same. I would probably repeat what they are saying.

I've spent time studying the same things you are asking, so please feel free to PM me if you have questions about the Bible or the PM's the others are sending you. I'd be happy to help you find your own way.

I'll be praying for you.

I'll pray for you! As a seemingly boundless number of people have said before me, feel free to send me a pm about anything and everything. ;)
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
