Ya know thos things Sasuke (from Naturo) wears?

Where can I find them if they exist?

or What are they called at least (if not arm warmers)?

I've been wondering where to find them forever! >_>

thanks.

To be completely clear, let me ask: do you refer to the partial sleeves that Sasuke wears at the beginning of the series?

Unfortunately, if that is the case I have no idea what they are even supposed to do, much less where you might be able to buy them.

They have no purpose as far as I can tell, but there are anime collectors stores that sell them; I have a couple friends who have bought them. They are quite expensive, though.

Presuming Sasuke is the guy on the left in this pic

I would think they are an anime version of arm protection. I think the item (usually armored) are called bracers.

Here are some real life versions:

You know, they kinda remind me of Tai's legwarmer socks on Digimon: Digital Monsters Season 1.

What the heretic said.

Bracers are for protection. The ones shown in the heretic's message are armor to protect the wearer from attack, but there are other reasons as well. For example, archers will often wear bracers as well - although they are usually made of canvas or leather or some other durable but flexible material - to protect their arms from the bowstring.

I work at an auto plant and we use Kevlar bracers to protect our arms from sharp metal.

Hm, I hadn't ever thought about them as bracers. That is probably the closest term for them, but Sasuke's are made of cloth and don't protect him from anything. At least, I know he never uses them to block and small projectiles don't seem to be stopped by them. I am fairly certain they are only for style.

You can probably find the gloves and headbands, but probably not the things around his arms.

I have seen cloth wrapped arms in martial arts for protection in unarmed combat. I would suspect this is just an anime stylized version though for chara design.

Yeah, use white socks w/black electric tape. I think you'll find tape at a hardware store.

AnimeHeretic? you mentioned about martail artist having cloth bandages around thier arms. I believe they used them for unarmed attacking. they untie them and use the bandages to choke a foe or something like that i believe. i've got a book about martail arts and i believe thats exactly what they are used for.

either that or to keep circulation or something like that . . . .

Or you could just put chloroform on them and hold them by your opponents face. :P

However, Sasuke doesn't do any of the above. Rock Lee (another Naruto character) does have bandages that he uses to bind an opponent, but they are of a wholly different sort. I still hold that they are purely for style, though AnimeHeretic's idea that they would be for minor shielding during hand to hand combat has at least some merit.
