My testimonial? Sure!
Technically, I was born-again in 5th grade, but I didn't really start living it til 8th. So, this story starts with my life in middle school. I passed 6th grade alright, but then in 7th I started to get really depressed. I mean, I know everybody says that 7th is always the worst, but my 7th was as close to you-know-where as I've ever gotten. For one thing, you should know that I have A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder), and I always had people nagging me, 'Do your homework!,' 'Why can't you do your homework?!?,' 'You're the laziest girl I ever saw!,' 'Don't you care about your future?,' 'You're just being a lazy butt! Mom and Dad spoil you! (My elder sis),' 'Write stuff down in your agenda.,' and especially 'ARIEL!!! PAY ATTENTION!!' and 'CLEAN YOUR ROOM!'. What a lot of peeps without A.D.D. don't understand is how hard it is to actually function in a regular school classroom. How exactly do peeps listen to every single detail of every single class in a day? There's so much more to think about! The only class I got an A or B in that year was Art. Civics, Math, and Science were probably C's, and I failed English (no habla ingles?).

Getting a bit off-topic here, so I'll get back to the story. Anyway, I was doing so terrible at the public middle school, that my parents let me go to a somewhat-nearby Christian School. This one was really nice! I luved all the teachers and students and stuff we did (I hadn't gone on a field trip since 5th grade!). Even though I had my share of troubles, I got put on medicine and got to go to a psychiatrist person, and it was so much easier! Still, by the end of the year, I felt really guilty for making my parents pay the almost $5000 dollar tuition per year, and I still only passed with pretty much a C/B average, so I decided to go to our public high school, and so far, I'm doing much better (It's the drugs, man! Stratera, Welbutrin, and Zoloft to the rescue!). Now that I've gone through a tough situation like that, I know how important it is to rely on God for wisdom and trials and stuff like that, and it feels sooooooooooo good! So now, to all the people who still tell me to do my homework, I say...

BLEAH!

(And infinity 'arigato's to our spiffy God!)

^^ it's interesting to hear your testimony. I don't know what ADD is all about since I've never experienced such a "syndrome." However, I do know most ppl can only handle 45 minutes of full concentration....anything after that is down the drain.

Don't study to please ppl, do it for yourself. Think about how you might use that knowledge in your life later on. That's how I handle my academics and enjoy them...despite the homeworks and exams. ^^

God bless!

I have A.D.D too. It really gives me some problems myself. (Especially in math.)
