Hey guys! It's that time of semester again  I have atleast 2 major assignments coming up; the one I am most worried about is marketing. It's due in 2 or so weeks, and I am having trouble starting it. Please pray that I get it done on time and that it will be a good report.

Also, my final exams are fast approaching - 5 more weeks to go (eep!). I'm beginning to get stressed, so could you pray that the peace of Jesus will be in this aspect of my life, as well as that I manage to learn all the right things.

As an aside, this semester has turned out better than I thoguht it would be. I am getting reasonably good marks, which will help ease the tension surrounding the exams. Praise be to the Lord!

Thanks guys

Ah Talame, I didn't see this earlier! 0_0

First, Praise God that your semester is doing better than you expected. I'm sure He'll be right with you in the upcoming exams/assignment. Go with Philippian 4:6, dear sister. You know, I'll pray for yah. :thumb:

Just thought I'd put an update up:

I have handed in the first assignment (the one I was stressing over). It turned out really well, and between the 4 of us (it was a group assignment) we got ~27 or so pages. It looks really nifty and profession too, so I'm hoping we do really well XD

Also, my other assignment is almsot finished, Praise God! It wasn't as hard as I thoguht it was

The exams are still approaching though. Thanks for praying guys! :thumb:

Another bumpity.

I'm halfway through my second last week, all my assignments handed in yet I haven't started exam study yet. My first exam is on the 27th, then I have a weeks break before the last ones.

To top that off, its my bday on saturday and my grandparents are coming over for a 2 week visit (we hardly ever see eachother since they live on the other side of the country). Also, Kid's Church is starting up again this week, and I have to prepare lessons for that. There is also Youth Group, but I think that I can manage to get out of that for a few weeks.

In short, life is about to get a whole lot more hectic. I dont want to sound like I'm whining or complaining, its just that it all seems so hard. The only thing that is preventing me from breaking down into a lovely pile of teary mess is that I know God will get me through it a step at a time. I would GREATLY appreciate it if you guys could pray for a few things:

(in no particular order)
a) That I study and memorise the right material for the exams
b) That even with my grandparents over there will still be plenty of time to study
c) That God will show me what to do with kid's Church (whole other story. PM me if you want the whole details)
d) That I'll do well in all the exams

and most importantly:
That I draw closer to God. I've been slipping lately (aint that always the case?). A few months ago I was as close to 'on fire' for Him as I have ever been; I was passionate bout reading the Word, praying as much as I could remember to, getting spoken to and really touched... but now, well, it seems to have evaporated. I'm not sure as to the reason (perhaps it is just a testing period, or perhaps a result of something within me), but whatever it is please pray that God will get me through it, that He will transform me into His likeness so that I can love and serve Him more effectively.

Thanks guys

I will be praying. Just remember that God did not put you where you are to let you fail. Good luck!

Got you covered, prayer-wise. Actually, as I post this, it's the morning of the exam there and bedtime for me. I will go to sleep praying for your mental and spiritual success.

I never noticed this thread before; I'm glad to hear it went well Talame. You have exams pretty early!

My exams are coming in a week and a bit; much prayer needed too! I still need to write up an extensive electronics prac report in that time :bang:.

I'll be praying for you too Talame.

Ok. I'll be at the airport holding up a sign that says "Talame".

Mine are from the 8th to the 16th.
I thought you were already into your exams...?

Good stuff! I'll be there in a jiffy

Kinda. My first one was on the 27th of Oct, but my next one is the 8th so I have awhile in between them (thankfully!). I finish on the 12th, so for the remaining 4 days until the 16th I shall be doing my best to distract a certain person from studying

Talame,

Pray that you thoughts would be clear and that the Lord would give you what to study. Also in the exam that what you have studied, learnt and heard in lectures and tuts would come back to you.

This happened to me, A really unexpected question appeared on the exam worth like 30% of the marks. I did not know what to do so I prayed, then i remebered a lecture we had on the topic almost word for word. PTL

^^ Thanks Falcon! I think I really really need that (I have having a bit of trouble studying now... stupid economics. Can I burn it yet?)

Btw, that's so spiffy about remembering the lecture! I think something similar happened to me when I was doing my HSC, and I later found out that the time I remembered it was the time my mum was praying for me ^^
