Worries!!! Worries!!! WOrries!!!

I am here in a conundrum. My husband lost his job and he is the only bread winner of the family. So... here is the problem. I believe in my spirit that God will provide and job and provide our needs. But my head tells me otherwise.

SO i feel complete peace inside, while my outside doesnt... it feels chaos. So, every so often my brain or spirit sway one way or another.

The conundrum.... how can i feel both at the same time... i really desire to " be anxious for nothing.... prayer and suplication..." and so on. I know God has it handled... but why dont i feel like it. And how can i change my feelings?

The worries are your flesh coming through. You can't make that go away, but remember that Paul said he put his flesh to death every day. Every morning when you wake up, and every time you start to worry, pray and ask God to have more of Him and less of you. It's completely natural to have peace and worries at the same time because you are part flesh and part spiritual being. Just dedicate the worries of the flesh to God every day. I will also be praying that God provides for you in this time and that He will reward your faith.

I don't think these are necessarily contrary things, though you know your own mind better than I. God gave us the ability to reason for a purpose. Your reason is probably searching for practical ways to keep your family fed, while your heart trusts that God will cause all things to work out best for you. Why should he not bless you in your search for a way to keep your family healthy. In that way I actually think your conflicting emotions are complimentary.

You are suffering from a common symptom of doubt. It happens to everyone, including Christians, so don’t worry about it. In fact worrying about doubt is what the devil wants us to do. It bogs us down and makes us ineffective in being strong Christians. Just remember that, “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.â€
Live your life, love the Lord, and don't forget to laugh...

The day I walked into my bosses office at my old job and was told my hours where being cut for monetary reasons, I immediately felt God saying, "This is your queue. Your work here is finished. Get out now." I basically found myself blurting out a second later that I was giving my two weeks notice. Keep in mind that I had no other job lined up to begin immediately. This action was entirely based on faith. As it turns out, I searched fevereshly in those two weeks. By the end of week one, all my leads where dead. I was literally beginning to panic, as I didn't want to have to go for weeks without a paycheck.

But as week two was nearing it's end and I was on the verge of having nothing, God broke through. It seems my brother in law had just gotten a promotion to manager and was running his own store. And... he was hiring! I literally started my new job IMMEDIATELY AFTER my two weeks notice had ended. And my new job pays twice as much as my old job, and I average 30-40 hours per week as apposed to 20 (being cut to 15) at my old job.

The lesson here: ALWAYS trust God. No matter what hardships you go through, God will NEVER forsake you. He will always be there to pull you through.

I'll be praying.
I don't know exactly how you feel, but I can relate to the worrying. I worry about everything especially this year being my last of school.
Here is a verse that may help you: 1 Peter 5:6-7 It helped me alot when I seemed overwhelmed with everything that was happening. ^^

I don't see that as a conundrum at all. You have physical needs, which are now threatened. It is natural to be uneasy about this.

You know that God will provide for you and everything will work out for the best in the end. That gives you a natural feeling of peace.

There are many aspects of life that seem contradictory or confusing, but they are really quite natural and the way God intended it to be. Life was not meant to be simple or easy to understand.

I believe God is at the root of both emotions. He gives you peace of mind because you know He cares for you and wants what’s best for you. However, you need to be a little nervous right now. You need that nervousness to keep you aware so that you will not miss the opportunity that will arise for you.

May God grant you peace and joy through your trials and pain.

I'll pray for you. God always comes through, He's running this joint right? ;) This why "faith is the evidnece of things unseen." You don't see it, but you still know it's coming.
