Unusually dizzy and nauseous

Postby Mave » Tue Oct 11, 2005 6:46 am

Dear all,

I've been feeling strangely dizzy and nauseous since last night. I tried to go to work today but eventually called in sick. Upon reaching home, the first thing I did was puke. (0__o);;

I don't understand what's going on. This hasn't happened to me before in my whole life. I don't feel pain anywhere at all. Just dizzy....especially whenever I bend my head downwards. I hope it's not anything severe since I won't go to a doctor (no medical insurance).

I need to get better soon since I have much to do at work and a job interview coming up this week.

I'm just going to stay home and rest today. Pls pray. Thanks in advance.

Better go see a doctor, then. I'm pretty sure even without medical insurance you can pay for it cash (assuming you have some). You shouldn't take chances with your health. Anyway, I'm praying for you.

I'll pray for you! I know how that is, I have chronic dizzyness that hits me all the time, don't know what it is. But if you get too dizzy take my advice and sit down, no matter where you are, even if it's in the middle of the floor, because I've passed out from dizzyness before. . . kind of painful, to varying degrees depending on what breaks your fall. So take care and get better! ;)
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Oooh, Poor Mave! I'll be praying for you! Get well!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Thanks for all your prayers! Mave is pleased to report that she can walk around without stumbling or puking onto the floor (very grateful for it, mind you). ^__^

PS: Roger, I had no idea that's how a hangover feels like. >.< Ok, now I really don't understand why ppl get drunk and make themselves miserable

PSS: For a while, illogical was it seems, I was entertaining thoughts that perhaps.....just perhaps by some terrible mistake, someone knocked me out, impregnated me through some in-vitro method and now, I'm experiencing morning sickness.

No...I assure you none of my actions should cause me to be drunk or pregnant.

Haha! I'm glad you're feeling better. Oh, and just to set the record straight: I have no idea what a hangover feels like. :sweat: That just sounded like what I've heard about hangovers.

And about the morning sickness worries... You also forgot to mention the possibility of an alien abduction... Sorry, I'll quit now. :lol:

If you weren't weak and running a fever, it's probably not flu. Were you dizzy first, or nauseous first? Dizziness can cause nausea, and something as simple as an ear infection can do this. OR, if you had a 24 hr stomach virus or some bad food, you could be dehydrated or something from not keeping fluids in you. Once you can eat, resist the urge to pig out on a burger and fries. I did this once and got to feel bad all over again since my body wasn't ready to digest fats. Go with the dilute Gatorade and crackers for a day.

Regardless, I'll be praying.

Disclaimer: SP1 is not a doctor! Be careful with dizziness, especially if it recurs. Like Yumie says, there are bad places to pass out.

:lol: Oh Roger, you know I would never associate myself with strange looking creatures from outerspace.....*buzz buzz* erm, at least as well as my fuzzy memory serves me. XDDD

SP1, I was dizzy first...and then the nausea came. This is really strange. It just happened for one day, I slept lots and it never came back. I'm seriously considering a brief medical checkup though. But thanks for your concern and prayers! I'm feeling a whole lot better now. ^^

I've never heard of a physical giving anyone a terminal illness. Though in my last one I did experience what (as Dave Barry puts it) the medical community refers to as "Slight Discomfort." O.O

Ore? I'm a little confused at what you two (OldMith and Shooby) mean, but it's obvious that I haven't acquainted myself with the medical system in the U.S. at all. Heh.

But quick praise report: I took a small health test yesterday and found that I was doing just fine with blood pressure and cholesterol levels. XD That rrrrreally makes me feel better.

Sorry to join the thread so late, but I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you Mave. That you will not have to suffer from this nauseous sickness anymore.

God Bless
