Killzone 2

I don't know...I might have made a thread already about this. All I know is that every time I see the video, I am rendered absolutely incoherent. Does this stuff floor anyone else as much as me?

I heard that it was just a cutscene.

Last word I heard was the company is still saying it's real-time with I guess you'd say... photoshop shine... to make it look like how it's supposedly going to look. If I remember correctly they recuited a Bristish firm to polish up the video for E3.

As for myself, I'll get excited about a Killzone game, when Guerilla proves to me they can make a good game. :)

They already said they touched it up it wasn't realtime.

Killzone was a good game it just wasn't a great game. There was nothing sucky about it it was just flawed.

Personally, I have to disagree, unless if by good you mean a workable shooter. Sure, the single player wasn't flat out terrible, but it was just bland. It felt like a chore and I couldn't bring myself to finishing it. As for their other games.... anyone remember Nam '67?

While I give them kudos for producing a cool E3 trailer, I put my money on I-8 or MGS 4....

I would not by killzone 2 if I got a ps3 for 3 reasons.
1. Because the first one didn't exactly receive rave reviews
2. Because the first one was hyped up to be a halo-killer and wasn't.
3. Because it would not control well.

Yeah, the video is just pre-rendered. However, after seeing the incredible real-time Metal Gear Solid 4 demo, the real Killzone 2 might not be too far off from what we've seen in the trailer, especially if it doesn't come out for a couple more years.

Okay, so even if it is prerendered...its a beautiful, beautiful example of CG animation that rivals the big-budget Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. (Which, if I go on a tangent here, was a totally underrated film.)
