I've seen smaller. The smallest I've ever encountered is one that was size of a 20cent coin, as thin as the coin too. It was so small in fact that it only has the earphone jack, and that jack alone is used to both listen to music AND recharge the tiny NiMH battery inside the player. Pictures might come around when I can remember the model name...
