Anyone played this game yet? what do you think and how do you think it compares to the first katamari game? I picked up a copy of this on friday and have been obsessively playing ever since;)

the music was the only disappointing thing about it, there's really only three songs that I like compared to most of the first game's (all but Wanda Wanda).

and at first I didnt notice you had to complete the As Large as Possible and As Fast as Possible for each stage in order to replay the other though, so that worried me until I had a few more hours play time.
but still like the first game, the Collect a (item), be it cow/bear or whatever, those stages continue to annoy me with the sheer amount of target items.

best stage is the Racetrack though, most definitely.

yes orenji, it's only been out for about a week.

I totally agree with you about the music sync, but there are a few good songs anyways. i hate the cow/bear level too cuz there's always items you can only get in those levels and you end up playing them sooo many times trying to get them (if you're an obsessive collector like me anyways)

if you've beaten the game there's still more levels to unlock but you have to go through and find all the stupid cousins first... that was a pain trying to find them all.

I`m not sure, should I borrow the original from my friend? And how much better is the 2nd one? The graphics are....um...not good but that aprently doesn`t matteri n this genre.

the graphics are suppose to be the way they are.... lol. anyways, you can pretty much play whichever you want first, its's not a plot heavy game anyways. you should defintaly play the first one if you can, the music is amazingly good in that game. as far as gameplay goes, it's hard to say that one is better than the other because both of them pretty much involve the same basic principle.

As soon as I get some cash, this game will be mine!

I hear the campfire levels are insanely hard...and the whole "gathering one million roses" thing sounds...frustrating.

That said, I probably won't like this one as much as the other one, but oh well. It's Katamari, I'll enjoy it. ^^
