I'm pretty sensitive to others feelings and I feel attached to people when they are going through what I have at one time or am going through. It may also sound weird, but I can sense when things are going terribly wrong with someone I am close to. I could feel something wrong when my Dad had a heart attack and didn't find out unti lhours later, also when my Grandfather died, I knew something was wrong exactly 12 hours before and then the minute he died. I know.. I'm weird... ><

Ya I feel other peoples emotions some times. Especially when they are sad. It's wierd to because some times I can feel other peoples pain. When they are describing something that happened to them that really hurt, I'll all the sudden have a quick flash of pain in the same area they got hurt. That doesn't really have anthing to do with this
subject, but you just reminded me of it. When someone is sad I mentally put myself in there position. I become really sad. In fact that is basicly one of the only situations I ever become sad in.

Wow Sy-chan, you read my mind. I was about to post in my Sakura's Saddness thread. A couple of days ago I was feeling really bad and I thought typing it down woudl help, but I never got to doing it. Sometimes it can be good and bad. For me, I seem to take in everybody's saddness and makes it my own. I even broke down one time after watching the emotional scene on FullMetal Alchemist that I programmed. I guess I'm the type of person who woudl rather me be hurt then others (smiles)

Yes, this happens to me all the time. Even if I dont know the person, my heart aches to see/hear them go through troubles. You can see it on their face, in their actions, in their speach/words.

While I do think this is a gift, do not think its somthing you should keep to your self. I believe that God made some of us sensitive to the emotions of those around us for a reason, to lift those people up. If you feel a pain in your stomach or heart for some one, dont ignor it, go to that person. Its not always easy, and you may not be able to fix their woes; but for some, carring is enough, and for others a good hug or a shoulder to cry on can make all the differance.

Hearing the call of the Holy Spirit and ignoring it is not right. You have been given a great gift (one that cannot be learned) and you should not keep it to your self.

Well, thats how I feel anyway.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I have that exact same thing except worse. I mean....I can feel pain for people when they aren't in pain themselves. Say for instance...if they are being called names and mistreated or beaten on, I feel very VERy strongly for them. I'm very emotional, even when it's unnecessary. And as someone mentioned before, it's not always a good thing. Especially when the person doesn't appreciate that you feel that way.

Syaoran, I also believe it is a gift. Pray that God will give you guidance and discernment in how to use it.

I had a friend who has this gift very strongly. He told me once that he misused his gift to hurt people when he was rebelling against God. It also was very hard for him sometimes -- he didn't want to be in a crowded place because he would be overwhelmed by the feelings of all the people around him.

I'm sure that if you stay in tune with God, He will guide you in the use of this gift.

I am empathetic to a degree. It makes me a good listener, and I can sometimes see that someone is in pain or lonely, when everyone else seems oblivious to the fact. But it doesn't always happen, and I can be quite oblivious myself. I may even block it out sometimes because it hurts too much and makes me depressed.

There has to be some balance involved. I had another friend who was constantly depressed, almost to the point of suicide. Every little thing that happened that was hurtful to anyone, even people he didn't know, would drag him deeper into depression. His depression was not helping anyone; in fact, he would purposely hurt himself. So, feeling everyone's pain can go to a horrible extreme. Balance is a good thing.

I have kind of a weird instant prophecy connection with people through minds. *feels like Jean Grey from X-Men* But I really do love this talent because then I am able to help the person through my feelings to their own. God speaks through me a lot I believe and that's a great way to help them. I love people so much and I would feel like a dirty person if I didn't help them when they needed it and I had the chance. I feel everyone's emotions no matter where I am, if something's wrong I usually detect it right away. it's just something I think God gave me so I could connect with people spiritually.
