Hardest thing to give up?

Postby ~Natsumi Lam~ » Wed Sep 14, 2005 10:41 pm

What would be the hardest thing to give up forever?

I would say... watching TV...

Being with my girlfriend.

Life is a test. It is only a test. Had this been real life you would have have been instructed where to go and what to do.

When i argue with reality I lose.....But only 100% of the time.

At this point in my life, the internet. I've gotten better about it, but it's one of the only forms of communication that I have with some people. I'm also incredibly broke, so it's the only thing that I have to pass the time when my friends are at work or busy.

Smoking.
Seriously, not a good habit to begin with, but now it's moved on to that whole... craving addiction nonsense, along with the mental clamp it puts on your attention.

Oh wait... was this thread supposed to be hypothetical?

D'OH! Oh my gosh. Music is so much of a part of my every day life and is constantly playing that I didn't even think of that. It's just so much a part of my life I didn't even consider it. Wow. Yeah, I take my answer back. Music would be THE hardest thing to give up.

Yes, the whole "unconsciousness" bit has a tendency to get in the way.

I presume this thread is talking about habits, small things that have become too important to us. Of those things I could give up without harm to myself, I believe CAA is the one that I least wish to surrender (though it wouldn't be so difficult if I decided to do so). Let me see if I can think of a more exact answer.

Ah. Regular eating. I could probably fast several times a week without damaging my health in any way, but I wouldn't like it. After months of such a practice it would either become habit or my will would break down.

I think it would be my hair. I really can't stand hair cuts and love having long hair. So it would be pretty hard for me to give up.

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Writing for one thing. I would probably go insane if I was unable to write! Then reading and music. Also, biting my lip. This is a habbit I am currently trying to quit.
