Foods you hate

Postby Warrior4Christ » Tue Sep 13, 2005 9:01 pm

Which normalish foods do you hate (don't mention any foods which few people like such as brussel sprouts or haggus)? It can be for medical or taste reasons.

-butter/margarine
-pumpkin & other pumpkin products (soup, etc)
-any meat from a pig (bacon, ham, pork)
-lamb, steak, other red meats (but I do eat beef mince in spaghetti, etc, and sausages)
-dairy milk (I have soy milk instead, purely for taste reasons. I eat other dairy products though.)
-coffee (I like iced coffee though)

I don't really consider myself a fussy eater; most other vegetables and stuff I will happily eat.

I don't hate much in the way of food, but of foods I do hate, I detest brussels sprouts and liver in just about any method imaginable. I also dislike onions that are sliced as opposed to diced or ground. Otherwise, I'm not very picky.

Beans. Not green beans but like pork in beans. They make me gag. Also I'm not a big fan garlic or dirty rice. But I love white and fried rice.

Oh and catfish... can't stand it.

I can't stand icing on cakes or cookies. I also am not a fan of cream cheese and I only like regular cheese if it's melted in/on something. Can't stand it by itself. Also, I hate milk. I can't drink it unless it has chocolate or something in it. Or if it's on cereal.

Canned green vegetables are gross too. X_X

I would agree with you except for skim milk... I love the stuff! I used to like only full cream, then light-white, and now skim ;) Anything above skim is too creamy for me XD

Anyway, foods/drinks I don't like:
vegetables (though salads are nice)
coffee
tea

Actually, skim milk is about all I drink as far as milk. I'll drink 2%, but not in quantity. However, I'll go through two gallons of skim milk a week.

mechana mentioned stewed tomatoes. I'm not fond of those either, though I'll eat them.

Foods/drinks I despise:

1. Diet soda-I know it's healthier and supposedly you get used to the taste, but for six years it's all my mother would buy and she tried every kind. I can't stand it. If I can't have normal soda, I won't drink it. Non-caffeinated soda doesn't bother me.

2. Stewed/Cooked tomatoes-I'm with shooraijin and mechana on this. I don't even like it diced up IN something, if I can avoid it. Just...slimy and I hate the taste and texture.

3. Skim milk-again, it's all I had for years, but I can't stand the taste. Tastes like water and it goes sour more quickly

4. Liver

5. Cooked onions- unless they're the kind from a hibachi grill...cause they're kind of crispy

6. Sauerkraut

I see you're drinking 1% milk. Is that because you think you're fat? Because you're not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.

Onions, mushrooms (Unless they're in a sauce), diet drinks (Beware the aftertaste!), mayonaise, mustard, liver, others but can't think of them right now.

Basically it comes down to the texture and the fat content of the cut of beef that is generally used for Pot Roast. I find the meat to be too greasy.

Hmm. Cauliflower makes me gag, but I can usually eat it. I'm not crazy about it though.

I guess we should specify whether our list should include foods we hate (but eat anyway), or just foods we hate (and will not eat under any circumstances). I have quite a few I dislike, but the childhood habit of eating what you're served -- this came from having dinner for breakfast one too many times -- dies very hard in my subconscious. So, I'll eat most things, even things I don't like eating very much -- the short list of things I positively refuse to eat is, well, short.

Oh yeah, I hate diet sodas too. They say it taste the same, but it doesn't. No matter how much I try, I still taste that sweet-and-low. I hate that stuff.

Let's see...

-cheese
-mustard, mayonaise, and any ketchup but Heinz
-anything really salty or sour
-pork
-seafood
-beans
-spinach
-any kind of caffeinated beverage
-tomatoes
-potatoes
-any kind of sandwich, hamburger, or sub (I know. I'm practically Un-American like that.)

I think that's about it.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel.
