I've always wanted to go to Africa. I don't know why, but it just intrigues me.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I've been to London, England
Koln (cologne), Bonn, Dusseldorf, in Germany
Madrid, Valencia, Segovia, Segunto, Denia, in Spain
Juarez, Mexico
Western side of Canada (went through several different places, particularly through the Yukon)

I would like to go to
Finland, I have relatives there
Slovakia, I met some really great Christians from there
Israel, for a pilgrammage with my friends, somewhere in the years 2030-2033 that would literally be 2000 years since Christ's passion death and ressurection
More of Mexico, I have friends the Aguilera's who own a ranch down there
El Salvador, because of Bishop Romero who was martyred for the faith
Phillipines, I have family there!!
Okinawa, my mother lived there!!! my brother was stationed there for a while
China, I like some of their movies ;) like Hero etc.
South Africa, maybe Johannesburg, the history and because of a book I read
the rest of the world ;)

I know a pastor in St Helena. It is an island with a rich history... though not all of it is "good history", if you know what I mean. Part of the good history is that many of the churches there were built for the Boer POW's and are still standing today, and there are reports of a mighty move of God (revival) among the POW's during the war.

I'd like to see it since it played a big role in the formation of my country all those years ago.

bigsleepj wrote:I know (when he was there the island had a garrison of thousands of soldiers just in case someone was going to try and bust him out) but the country is also linked to South Africa through the Boer War (1899 - 1902). Boer POWs were sent there when the British caught them, so it has a lot of history to it as well.

Edit: Also a former Zulu king (who was dethroned by Shaka, I think) lived in exile there and his descendants still live on the island.

Oh yes - it has black beaches. The sand is black because its actually volcanic ash. Interesting feature, I must say.
