you heard it right, the age of empires 3 demo is out
i got it here

with a constant 2.5mbps speed, it was done in a few mins, i was amazed

Cool!!!! I loved the first two, and the history class i'm taking right now really makes me want to play. Sad thing is I can't because my windows died. Does this work on macs?

I'm a AOE nerd, and have been playing the demo pretty much nonstop since it came out (minus classes of course). It is sweet! My favorite part is cannons vs people and building demolitions (i've gotten so bad i won't resign if i'm losing- i'll watch the enemy blow up my base and cheer)

BTW, on a side note, the modding community at aoe3.heavengames.com is already releasing mods (soon to add maps) for the demo. Fun fun! I can't wait for the full game!

One question...what is the max level you can go up to for your home city?
The max level is 9 with the demo, and 49 with the mod (dont forget to also add the cards above level 10 mod also)

Not currently. Interface size will probably be in the demo verson 1.1 - but that's not coming out until after the game is released (which will be on October 25).
