Persecuted Church: They need help!!!

Postby churchgirl111 » Tue Oct 28, 2003 7:26 pm

I have just read recently, our brothers and sisters in Christ within captive nations who even under supposed "Freedom of religion" are still being imprisoned, tortured and have had many other atrocities brought to them

They continue to steadfastly and fervently pray for their prosecutors and are having instead a production of such strong believers rarely seen in the West...

God is good! For many of their persecutors are becoming Christians as well as being imprisoned also for their faith...

and when i say prison don't think of the one's in America... no they are not so mericful..

Holes in the ground, rat infested, cockroach infested and with barely food, water and plentiful in tortures and Love for Christ...

Question is HOW CAN WE HELP???

We need to spread the word of our persecuted brethren.... :banned: this is what they do to our brothers and sisters in Christ...

Unfortunately presecution happens, had happened, and will progressively get worse (if it doesn't then good gracious it seems the Bible prophecy is wrong). We can only do so much. But know that for them to be persecuted because of the truth, it is a blessing itself.

We should give them our prayers; supporting them spiritually knowing that the Lord is holding their hand every step of the way.

Also don't forget that presecution of faith happens just around us; in schools, offices, everywhere. Just because it might not be accompanied by physical torture, spiritual torture is still no less painful.

You know, this is a very serious issue, but it's also better suited in the Prayer Room forum.

This might be a bit cynical, but sometimes the church needs a bit of persecution. Once it becomes the status quo, people begin to be Christian by ethnicity, not by faith. This causes the religion as a whole to appear much worse. Until it was the enforced religion, Christians grew very quickly and, more importantly, made a great many real Christians. Christianity was conquored when it conquored, so to speak.
