Well, we already have a database set up...in the future, if the need be, I'll talk to OldPhil and see about expanding it to subcategories.

Yeah, this forum's still young, well for a long term one. I've joined some that died in two months. Anyways, I'm still pushing for the Video game review section!

hopefully I'm not pushing too much, but I noticed a lot of members interested in producing their own manga. We might eventually need a forum specially for these budding artists/writers with hearts. Member's Christian manga or something. After all, making manga is one of the big visions of CAA, neh? hehe

Alright alright...just a suggestion. Don't whack me, don't get me wrong, Djnoz or anyone who made the database. :brow: I absolutely love the layout of this forum!

I know there's always a right timing for every action. So whenever the mods/admins see it fit to make such a forum category, just so you know, you have my support. I'm just delighted with the great interest and enthusiasm in making manga.

Hmm... Considering how this may play out in the future, I'll need to go hack a few things into my system. I'm going to be doing a little bit of work on it this morning anyway.

Hey, I'm all for the webmanga discussion forum... the question is how much this overlaps with the New Projects and Ideas forum.

Well, it would definitely be more targeted...and New Project and Ideas seldom has more in it than concept stuff, right? (except for The Fall and Pilgrim's Progress) So I dunno, it might be a good idea. And then again, we might just get a bunch of cross posting from it...:shady:

BTW, MichiruT, it's ok to put up new ideas...:thumb: No one will get freaky over it (the admins might say no but they won't get weird or anything...at least...I don't think so..O.o), so be sure to share...;)

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

New Projects and Ideas
What if "New Projects and Ideas" was made as a testing/screening zone for "NEW" ideas/concepts of anything including manga? The manga writers/artists can share their ideas and see what everyone thinks of it first. It will be way before starting the project or going any further in their story.

Case scenario: "I have an new idea for a manga....what do you think if I create __________ storyline?" Should I even bother with this idea? Good? Really? Sweet, I'll get working on it and post it in the webmanga thread.

Webmanga
As the story goes along, manga pages can be posted in the Webmanga thread for ppl to read and give feedback if desired. Titles that can be added to the Webmanga thread include the relatively more 'established' and approved ones such as "Steelblood", the Fall, Pilgrim's Progress. That would motivate ppl to get more serious with their manga...(well, it would for me coz I need motivation! )

*********************************************
I'm hoping that this will unite manga artists and create a sub-community meant to encourage and support each other. Who knows we can get better collaboration that way.

I do caution that this would require close monitoring of the mangas and more work for the mods/admins.  We know how everyone's got their own ideas and sometimes can go way off. As much as we encourage creativity, the thread needs to have certain policies. Ex: Do we allow 'magic' stories? How much violence is allowed in the Christian manga? Age limit? Do we allow cussing as long as it's censored? 0.o

I know christian artists struggle with trying to be realistic and not being stumbling blocks at the same time. These are some points for mods/admin to ponder about before making decisions. Sorry to make you all think.....

Inky, got your point, thanks! ;)
