I don't think you need look any further than the Bible itself. God condemned homosexuality in the Pentateuch, and Paul in his letters. There isn't much in the way of wiggle room.
Even if one considers that your sexual orientation may be in-built, there are many things in-built into us that we wish to put aside. Heterosexuality can be misused in the wrong context, for example. Furthermore, we are all born sinful from day 1, but that doesn't justify any sin we commit.
There is an excellent book by Chad W Thompson called "Loving Homosexuals as Jesus Would" which not only calls on the Christian church to drop homophobia in favour of "love the sinner and hate the sin," but also offers the Christian gay or lesbian manners of change and integration. He himself was a gay man who experienced the changing power of Christ. You may never extinguish the urge, but you can learn to transcend it. I recommend the book highly to anyone, even those who do not struggle with their sexual identity.
This is a strongly controversial topic which will probably become explosive, and we will close it to prevent it from snowballing. However, I will leave it visible, and as I will pray for you, I hope others will PM you their prayers as well.
