Friend in Iraq

Postby Hitokiri » Mon Aug 15, 2005 5:37 pm

I just wanted to post this that a friend of mine name Phillip is being shipped to Iraq today. Just please pray for him because he is in a dangerous position. He's the gunner on the lead point in his convoy. So please pray for his family who he is very close to, his fiance who is still quite young (I think she will be a senior this year in HS or just graduated), and his friends whoc are about him, but more so please pray that God will protect him and all of the men and women serving in the army, and the war in general.

Oh your friends got my prayers for sure. I've prayed everyday for our guys and gals over there. My friend is on a plane right now from Kuwait to Germany to Ireland and back here. After being in Iraq for 7 months, Marines do 7 instead of the Army's 12, he can't wait to see his wife and kid again. My physics teacher also got back in May from his second tour. Along with another friend of mine who got back earlier this year. I hope he makes it back alright. And I hope his fiance, family, and friends stay strong as well.

I'll pray for your friend and his safe return home.

I lifted one for your friend.

I knew someone who was killed recently in Iraq, from one of my classes in college. Even though I wasn't really close to this person, it has caused the war to hit home for me. May God give our troops protection and return them home safely, and give our leaders wisdom. It's in God's hands, and He knows exactly what needs to happen to bring this conflict to a peaceful end soon.

Will do, will do.
God has a plan for each of us
He wants us to fullfill
And He'll provide the strength we need
To carry out His will.

God bless.. :jump:

Most definitly. My brother has been there for a lil over a year, he is also a gunner and the first one to bust down doors on raids. I will pray for all who are involved.

Good idea. It's easy for me to forget to pray for these guys (and girls?).

People writing songs that voices never share

And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.
