Pastor involved in car accident

Postby Hitokiri » Wed Aug 17, 2005 10:01 pm

I just got a call from our church's pastor's wife telling us that he was involved in a head on car crash. It took a hour and half to be rescued from the car and then life flighted to the nearest hospital where my father and another deacon are at the hospital with his wife. He remians in critical but stable condition.

Please pray for him, his family, and the church family. We aren't sure if he will make it or not.

I'm so sorry, man. I know how much this news is a shock to you. Remember I experienced a huge shock when I received word that my pastor's youngest son had died suddenly, and then recently when I feared the same pastor's wife was probably going to die. I know the loss of your pastor is going to be painful, but you also know that now he's with Jesus, and he's more happy than he's ever been in life down here. I'll be praying.

I'll be praying for your church. It must be a dreadful loss. I'm so sorry to hear about this. My prayer is that the Spirit would fall on your congregation and would comfort everyone that's hurting because of what happened.

20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€

I have an update about our pastor. Apparently, he was pulling out in a country road and ddint see the other cars headlights and the car smashed right into the drivers side. He was unconsciounce at the scene and never regained consciousness. He had massive interal damage. It just hit me how its going to effect his family. His wife has to now go home and tell there 2 young daughters that there daddy died. It's just awful. I mean, just hours before I was at church lsitening to one of our missionaries to Germany speak and he was right across from me alive and as he left the church, he died.

Thanks everyone for the prayers. This is really hard on the church; being small but extremely close.
