do you ever feel excluded?

Talk about anything in here.

do you ever feel excluded?

Postby teen4truth » Thu Aug 11, 2005 1:02 pm

Hey guys, its me, t4t. Ok, let me explain.....when I first joined this site last month, I felt very excluded. it seemed like everybody was already friends and it was hard to 'jump on the bandwagon' cuz it seemed like there 'wasnt enough room' for me. But then I read sonic_13's thread titled hmmm...any ideas? and everyone was saying that they felt the same way! even people who I thought were interenet social lights! So now I realize that we are not left out, it is just hard to get to know and be friends with the 2000+ people who are members on this site.

Besides, it doesnt matter how many relationships we have with other humans...only one relationship matters....the one we have with Christ. Life here on earth is only a moment, but life after this will be forever, and the only way we can get an eternal life in heaven is through Christ. And of course He would never exlude us or reject being friends with us, He wants really really badly to be friends with us! "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Hebrews 6:19a

So anyways I just wanted to post that to let you guys know that you are not being excluded and because I dont want you to be sad. It hurts me to see my friends being sad, and I consider all of you here on CAA as my friends.

well that's my opinion, if you would like to post yours, go ahead!:)

with love that was sent from my father-friend-maker-lover-teacher-master above,
lyndsay AKA t4t

Seems like you have everything covered here,
Groovey thread though, agree 100% with you. Oh, and in case weve never meet I'm Archan, a fossil back from the old CAA days, wwwwaaaayyyyyy back in the day. Nice to meet you.

But yes, your right, it;s very hard to get to know 2000+ people via the internet, very very hard. But as you pointed out ones relationship with Christ is the most important as well, so I basically agree with everything you posted....hum, well okay then. Nice meeting you once again!

God Bless,

I belong to God, and to my family. That is enough for me. Though I must admit I am lonely sometimes...

Just as my trust has been betrayed, I have betrayed others. Because I have been forgiven, I'll have compassion on them instead of hardening my heart the way I did before. Until the day I die, I will continue to love...it is worth the pain. Love is the only thing worth living for.

I will not always be a stranger. I refuse to stop believing that there is at least one person in this world who cares. I will take heart and keep trying, no matter how much it hurts!

Yes, I have but I've also decided that it's something I can live with (it's not that bad, IMO). ^^ I don't have to be included in everything. Sometimes it's nice to be left alone, so I can do my own thing. heh

Hi people,

The fact that I can even find a Christian-oriented anime/manga forum on the Internet is a real blessing already!

Many of my Christian friends are not into or no longer into anime/manga (because we are all "old"). So at times they give me a "Huh? What do you mean you like anime/manga?" look when I told them that I think Voices of a Distant Star is a great anime, that I like reading Megatokyo, etc.

I feel so great just being able to read your posts, let alone doing my own posting too. :)

Archan - so when did you join this forum? From what you have said, sounded like you were talking about yearssssssssssss ago. LOL.

ya ive been here about a week and i feel excluded sniff
The Letter from God Dear child, Despite your silence, I have heard your soul weeping. Why have you been so unhappy? Have you forgotten my everlasting love for you? Child, you are mine. Why have you not called my name sooner? If you seek me, I will answer. I am your counselor, ready to instruct you and show you which path to take. When you come to me, I will embrace you and silence all your fears. Just remember that I am here to hold you close and dry your tears. I will always be right beside you. Not only am I your father, but your best friend. Do not be afraid to ask for my mercy and forgiveness. I know that its hard to live on earth, so I understand when you fall down once in awhile, ask me for help, and I will pick you up and carry you. No one loves you more than I do. When you feel alone, remember I am beside you. When you feel helpless, remember I offer myself to you. When you feel lost, remember I will lead you, and when you feel forgotten, remember that you are my child and I will love you unconditionally. It is never too late to come home. I will be here waiting, ready to embrace you. I will leave the light on for you. Forever with you, God

I sometimes do. I feel excluded places when my friends aren't there. I'm OK at making new friends, I just never put forth the effort. Online, I don't feel excluded as much, every once in a while, yes, but not usually. I'm probably better at making friends on the internet because here I talk to people I most likely wouldn't talk to otherwise.

Just letting you know that all you are appreciated. I've also struggled/struggle with feeling excluded. But as said before God will never exclude you. You'll always end up being hurt by people if you count on them for acceptance. I'm not saying that being accepted by others is bad but if that is what you're living for then your in for a lot of hurt. You guys are all great though. You can feel free to PM me if any of you are lonely or not feeling accepted.

Oh I love that song! Thank you for the support SG. He is right, it is fun to meet and become friends with new members. But a new person joins like every other day so it is hard to keep up sometimes. I mean, I haven’t been able to get on the Who’s Who forum in a day or two or maybe even more, so I dont know if anyone new has joined. And I’m not trying to exclude them, I just have a busy lifestyle. But I will head to forum as soon as possible.

ya, I totally agree with you, it can often be easier to make friends online. but of course that doesn’t mean that online is the only, or even the main, place that we should have friends. We should just ask God to help us with our relationships and stuff. He always knows exactly what move would be the very best for us to make! :jump:

My brothers and I some what seem to exclude each other more than anything, me usually being the main target. However, i some what think that that's also my fault because I never jump in that often even if I'm given the chance. Sometimes I think people are just mean to each other though, some people just are the rough kind of nature however and like to try and control your emotions. My brothers aren't like this, but I certainly know how it feels to be left alone. Trust me.

I think my brother feels left out sometimes. The only things I do with him are listen to him talk (sometimes), and sometimes watch TV or anime with him. But not a lot. I get frustrated with him being down all the time, even though I understand it, it makes me upset because I can't fix it.

And he talks mostly about things I'm either not interested in, or don't know anything about. I wish I had a better way to connect with him than listening to talk about 1) politics, 2) guns, or 3) cars.

:( I'd like to connect with him better, but it's hard when I just feel frustrated!

It's especially hard because we were so close growing up.

you watch me and my brothers and you might think that we aer yeliing are even really mad at each other...when it fact we could never be happyer...or closer...we joke with each other all teh time...i don't know kind of who we are...i honsetly don't remember fighting them too much...exsept for an april fools joke...and that is another story for another time...but anyway...sometimes brothers joke and horasse each other...but really they are jsut enjoying eachothers company....but i don't have a sister so i don't know what that does...

i seem to get alot of people included...or scare them away...becaseu i am normally carefree about the event...and myself...for somereason it makes people a little more easy...or runs them off...normally the first rather than the latter...but it all start with accepting them like God accepted you...becuase He loves ya

I have two younger bros and they love cars and anything to do with cars. I don't and so I feel excluded because all they ever talk about is cars and upgrading cars. All I want is a good book/movie and to write and draw better. At church I sometimes feel excluded, if friends are away or something (not too often though). Online I have no problems. But God's always there for us, whether we realise it or not. You can't have a better friend than the Creator of the universe and the Saviour of the World, now can you? (lol)

hmmmmmm....brothers.....I have two older ones, and I know watcha mean swordguy, the love to fight and stuff and they are really bonding lol, itsa guy thing....but I am not super close to either of them, I guess....never really thought 'bout that.... but the main thing that I try to concentrate on is thier relatioinship with God rather than my own. I try to make sure that I am encouraging them in there walk with him and not degrating it....wich is kinda hard since I have a bad habbit of calling them names when i be mad. Perhaps if u guys dont have anything to talk with them about, you could start a conversation on God? Of course the most important thing is to have a canversation with God, he knows exactly what you should do....I hope that helps at least a little. I'll be praying for u all.
