Please pray for a car crash victim

Postby Cedahlia » Tue Aug 02, 2005 2:28 pm

A young man who lives in my area got into a horrific car crash.
The driver was going WAY over the speed limit, and crashed into a mini van driven by a pregnant mother and two toddlers. Amazingly, she and her children are all alright.
But two of the teens in the speeding car were killed, and the other two are in critical condition in the hospital.
One of them, who is the brother of a girl I know, was put into a chemical induced coma. He has possibly deadly injuries, mostly having to do with his brain, and it is a miracle he is alive right now.
Even if he does survive, there is a good chance he could be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life.
The young man for years has been headed down the wrong path, but he definitely deserves a second chance at life. And we are thinking that maybe, if he survives, that this was God's wake-up call to him.
So, please, I ask that you all pray and keep him in your thoughts. Everyone is devastated right now, and can only pray for the best.
Thank you for reading this. It means a lot to me.

I'll pray for him, as well as the loved ones of the deceased, and all those involved in the accident, including the mother and her children.

Wow..how awful. So many things happened in an instant; it must really shocking and tramatizing. I'll pray for the casualties and their loved ones for comfort, peace, healing and salvation.

I'll pray that there would indeed be a "wake up call," like you talked about. Too often, things like this drive people away from God. I pray for the opposite.

You have my prayers, I hope God will grant this young man a second chance, and that he may see how wonderful God's grace is. I will also pray for the others, that god grants them peace and understanding.

God bless,

Thank you all very much for your prayers. It means a lot to, not only me, but the people who are grieving here.

He can breathe on his own now...and his pulse is better. But he is still in the coma, and will be until he is stable enough to get a cat scan.

It's good to hear that he's getting better. I'll continue to pray for him and those whom are continuing to be affected by this situation. Do keep us informed.

^^ Good news!

Well, even though he is still in a coma, he seems agitated, and is moving around on the hospital bed.

And as his mother holds his hand, his pulse rate is normal, around 94 I guess...but when she takes her hand away, it rises to around 107. And she holds his hand again, it drops, so he is responding.

Although they did some tests, and he seems to have an infection in the brain, it looks like he will pull through!! Although there will probably still be serious brain damage, and he isn't well enough for the cat scan yet.

[font=Times New Roman]Thankxs for the update, I'm glad things are going well and that he's pulling through, and hopefully whatever damage may have been caused will be completely healed. He and the family continue to have my prayers. Continue to keep us informed, it's good to know prayer will always recieve results no? ]
