the title RUNEscape should first give the indication to
any christian that the game has something to do with
runes.. well runes are only a "language" but in the game
u will later find out that there are rune stones u can use
rune stones ae magical stoens used in witch craft to produce
spells. These are even used today!!
Ive read all the replies and the main essence i got was that
everybody was addicted to it. dosnt this just seem a little suspicious???

im sory that you feel that way its almost like any outher rpg computer game and like all rpg's you chuse how you play the game and some of us chuse to go midevile and just beat the crap out of the baddys and not use spells and other such devices of evile. For some of us if we really want some rainge to our attacks we use archary and poke our enimys full of holes with arrows or bolts thank you vary much.

The game is pure fantasy. I'm sure nobody here is going to become a pagan heretic and start casting hexes on his fellow human being just for leveling up their little animated character. If you don't like the game that's fine, don't play it. But don't go around telling other people where they draw the line on fantasy. It's made up, and if you can't see it as such, oh well.

its not for me to judge if ur a christian only God knows for sure
but why (if ure chrisitan) would u want to express ur namd in such

i play lots of games any games just none with magic in them.
i like starcraft most and unreal tornament and sonic and knuckles 3

im not telling people where to draw the line thats there choice i know most christians wont do that stuff u mentioned but witch craft is growing more rapidly than u think i have research. i just wanna say watch out with fantasy stuff because it isnt God honouring. actually i love rpg games and im not going to play it because i know its wrong and i dont want to have to put a magical game b 4 God at judgment. so its ure choice if ure so addicted and have to play it but u cant say you werent warned

So in fairy tales magic is justified because it's part of the plot and it leads up to a moral? I can think of games that have magic in them that also have a "moral of the story." Honestly, I don't see this as a very solid stance if you're going to make a claim like this -- if it's evil, it's evil, there is no rationalizing.

yea well i guess so. i wish they would make fairy tales without magic in them
in that case ill take back what i said about fairy tales and agree that all magic in any circumstance is evil

Actaully, fantasy magic is more often than not a skill or an art, rather than a dark religion. The two often bear no resemblance to each other. :/

I play this everytime I go to my cousin's house. I personally think that magic is something apart from what we are. What I mean is, we should think " This magic stuff is just silly, and fake, and it only happens in these games because the game isn't real." Now I know there are many people who will not have magic, at all. I used to be unable to separate myself from the fiction of video games, when I was little, and it had me arguing like someone hooked on Yu-gi-oh (which, by the way, is the dumbest, most evil thing I've seen sort of Ouija boards and demons). So the game I had went away. I personally prefer the sword fighting in the game, and every other game, but I will use the magic, just because the effects in the game are fun. Best part of Runescape: You can make new friends Worst part of Runescape: If your friends are too strong, they may just kill you if you go into the wilderness.
